Dems miss "talking" Point
Republicans endlessly call "politically motivated" foul whenever they are caught, and the American public eats it up. Well, it's time the Dems answered them. Not to refute that fact, but to endorse it. And simplify it for the public, like they do. Of course it's all politically motivated, it is supposed to be. That's why it's not all one big Republican party. Admit there is political motivation and take away the power of the argument. And then note that, political motivation or not, it doesn't change the truth.
The graceful Martial Art of Akido uses the opponent's own force against him. So much less time and energy is wasted on needless defense.

1. Me, I'd just be happy...

If, when a repug said "X is Y" on a news program, instead of saying "No, X is X" the dems would say "You are a liar, X is X."

7. What's with that?
Very obvious during the campaign. Almost like we threw it away.

2. All the Dems need to say is
When we dont defend our point of view, you guys are the first to say we have no backbone, are not willing to fight for our beliefs.

Damned if we do, damned if we don't.

3. The problem is
that they are endlessly caught in situations where they have no argument. They can't say the truth, now can they? "I'm pure evil and I could care less who I have to step on to push my own selfish agenda." Therefore, their constant argument is to never really answer the question but rather, as you said, call politically motivated foul whenever they are caught.

4. Aboslutely Right.
This is how the Repubs are winning.

They have somehow made the left ashamed of themselves.

5. Rove pursued Wilson besause "he is a Democrat".
Democrats need to tell the Republicans that when Rove was asked* why he was "pursuing the diplomat so aggressively, Rove reportedly responded: 'He's a Democrat'". This was based on "a source directly familiar with information provided to prosecutors..."

* Sorry that I can't provide the link, but the full article was from the Los Angeles Times, Monday, July 18, 2005, pg.A1 "Top Aides Reportedly Set Sights on Wilson"...to pg.A14 "Time Writer Confirms Scrutiny of Rove".

6. Yes
Use their own words against them for a change. And then defend the truth, instead of our motives for criticizing them "Yes, that's right, I'm a Democrat so I'm going to point out when they are not telling the truth. That's my job."
Reps know the best defense is a good offense. They are good at this-and it's working. Here in the South, I hear Republicans and Democrats repeating the Republican rhetoric. It's crazy.

12. They're also "winning" with rigged voting machines.
But of course Dems haven't really called them out on that either.

11. I disagree -- it is NOT a partisan issue, it's a NATIONAL one.
What's "politically motivated" are the Republican attempts to smear Wilson, coverup the truth, and claim that Democrats are being partisan.

This is an issue about war, weapons, lies, and top secret information leaked by this administration for partisan POLITICAL reasons. There is no way Democrats shoule "endorse" the accusation that this is merely a little political spat.

13. Use the word "treason"...

Tell the Republicans..."Exposing traitorous acts of TREASON within our own goverment should be motivation for BOTH parties."..both parties...both parties...both parties....drip...drip...drip...

Use the word "treason" repeatedly. The Republicans are afraid of that word coming into the mainstream. Treason...treason...treason....and use Bush Sr. quote about 'the most insidious of traitors' as often as possible. And always, always leave the discussion with a question for the listener....

According to your value system, should people who put our country in danger by revealing classified information be protected?
