1. I first noticed Inslee in the "Broom Closet" Hearings
He was excellent there, too.

He definitely has the "it" factor. Does he have presidential aspirations?

2. Good question
I had that feeling today.

BYW, did anybody feel like I did that history was being made today with these hearings? The panel testifying, the decorum of the Congresspersons and Senators, were all so dignified and so well delivered that it was hard to discount their words.

Let's hope this is a beginning...

3. Jay's been around a little while.
He served his first term in Congress representing the 4th district (central/eastern WA) and was defeated in the 1994 theft of Congress. Moved back over the mountains and ran again from the 1st district in 1998, and has been in Congress since. He's definitely to the right of Jim McDermott, but probably to the left of Adam Smith, so I guess you could call him a centrist, more in the real usage of the word as opposed to the DLC mutation so common these days (that would be Adam Smith)

I've met Inslee a few times through political circles and he seems like a decent enough guy.

4. Not from Washington, but
Inslee is one of the charter members of the House Iraq Watch, which returned this past week after a hiatus. That's a big plus for him in my book.

6. My feeling also
I feel that he is coming on strong, but that he is a good guy. He has a really good feel for going to the heart of the matter which is a great quality.

The hearings today were top drawer. Great quality!

7. Inslee is my Rep from Snohomish County... He is a great guy and
I met him last year when he was running for re-election. You should look at his voting records, he vote mostly liberal. People here loves him because, he is true believable of "We The People" He called me one time after I left message to his office... I was shocked that he personally made a phone call back to me. I am so pround he is my Rep!!!

9. A rising star!
I am so hopeful for this group of legislators at this hearing. They and the panel were so great. This has to be the beginning of the end for the Bush regime!

8. I am from Seattle. He represents 1st District
which does not include Seattle but covers Bainbridge Island, which is one of the most liberal places in WA state. I get his mail, and am on his e-mail list. Among some of his achievements, he and a couple of other local politicians rented a movie house in the University District for the premiere of Fahrenheit 9/11 and gave away tickets to activists. Needless to say, the whole thing turned into a huge, catharctic rally. In short, he is a great guy and makes one proud to live in WA state.
