Kudos to Kathy Castor, shame on the Hillsborough commissioners.
Kathy is the daughter of Betty Castor, and the only member of the Hillsborough County commission who has not shamed herself over this issue.

There is a video at the site. This was a shameful thing.

Before empty chamber, County Commission reaffirms gay pride display ban

TAMPA - "The gay pride debate has sparked another firestorm at a Hillsborough County Commission meeting. Wednesday morning, commissioners gave the public the first opportunity to comment on last month's controversial vote, then waited until those activists were gone before voting.

The morning started with angry outbursts among demonstrators outside the commission meeting. Several gay rights activists had gathered outside, but they found themselves trading barbs with opponents.

"They don't need to put it out in front of other people in a public place, about their sexual preference," Margaret Cyrise exclaimed after a back-and-forth with a demonstrator.

Last month, the entire commission except for Kathy Castor voted to forbid the county from recognizing or participating in gay pride events, a move that stemmed from a gay authors display at a library...."

Thanks, Kathy Castor. She has thought of running for Jim Davis's seat if he succeeds in the gubernatorial race.

1. Kathy is attractive..inside and
out..

I went to Jim Davis' site http://www.house.gov/jimdavis/ to find out more about him.

I take it he's a Dem cause most of the things he supports sounds like he's a Dem.

Does he want to be Gov of Florida?

2. He is a New Dem in every way.
He and Bill Nelson share a lot of things in common. They are both good Christian men who vote in favor of corporations nearly all the time.

I won't say more.

I adore Kathy Castor and Betty Castor. I think Betty should have tried to contest the election last year, 1.5% difference....gave some wiggle room.

3. I met her mom at a meeting during her campaign, and if she is
anything like her, she is A-OK. Sounds like a lot of her mom's good qualities rubbed off.
