I absolutley hate filling campaign finance reports.....

Because for the most part, they do not follow the rules of accounting, not even bookkeepping....

It is very frustrating, at last here in Ohio... Where else...

They just instituted a half year report for people not running. Now Judges are barred by law from collecting contributions. For all intents and purposes, their campaigns are dormant....

But they still have to fill out reports.....

Damn they do stuff to show the public that they are "doing" something about campaign reform and it just makes it harder and serves absolutley no purpose for candidates who aren't constantly in campaign mode.....

I am the treasurer for two statewide committees. NC has gone to an online reporting system that has to be one of the most convoluted exercises I have ever gone through. They must be taking advise from the IRS.
