What will history say in 2105?
I believe that the further away from history we get, the real version of history gets clearer to those that are willing to pursue the truth. Howard Zinn's "The People's History of the United States of America" serves as a reminder of how earlier versions of historical accounts can be completely inaccurate or at least watered down to make more palatable.

Let's fast forward a hundred years and assume there are historians willing to write about this era in a completely unmerciful manner. How will they portray the Bush administration and the people that put him in power?

1. History wont be kind to Bush, but honestly
what the history books say 100 years from now doesn't matter. Thanks to the Internet and sites like DU, the actual facts will be recorded and searchable forever.

2. I doubt that anyone will be alive to write or read about history
anyone who has really been paying attention to global climate change knows that humanity's days are very, very numbered.

3. he'll probably be ignored or considered meaningless
I'd expect going from peak oil to oil being useless and climatological concerns will drown out much, if not all interest in him.

4. Ask someone from the Middle East or China...
the way things are going as of today, the west will not be writing the history in the next century. Maybe we'll be a footnote - something about the year that the last one of us ceased to exist.
