Can we agree that Bush shouldn't fire Rove?
I think it makes him look even more petty, vindictive, sneaky, incompetent, noncaring, criminal by hanging onto him.

1. What difference would it make if he did fire him.
As long as Rove isn't in jail, he'll still be running the show.

2. If he hired Poindexter, why should he fire Rove?
I've never understood why there wasn't more uproar when he hired Poindexter.

:hippie:

13. No, I can't agree
Keeping somebody who's sabotaging our intelligence operations in a position where they still have access to classified information does long term permanent damage to the country.

14. Bush SHOULD fire Rove, which is why he won't!
And also why this will work to our advantage. Plamegate, the DSM's, and much, much more are all tied together. The more the people learn about them, the easier we'll be able to win big in '06. If we can win big in '06, then we can take BushCo down or at least make them powerless. Then, we can win big in '08!

So, Bush should fire Rove, but like you I'm glad he won't do it!

15. I don't think he should fire Reove! I think as long as Rove is in
the office just down the hall, he will be connected, in the public's eye, directly to Shrub! I want to see the dirt from Rove rub off on Shrub, and I want it to stick!

They need to go down together.

actually if this were an intelligent administration, they would give Rove his walking papers. However 'intelligent' is not a word anyone would use to describe Bush!!

If they want to keep him, I say let them. This thing is going to drag them all down and expose them for the criminals we all know they are!!

And besides, even if Rove left, he would still be running things.....he just wouldn't be as visible. It's better that he stays so that we can (at least) keep an eye on him.

18. I dunno....
...damned if we do, damned if we don't want that? So, Rove and the Terrorists win, no matter

Guess that means I don't agree?

unload the creep. We all think it would be great to have Rove stay & bring down the whole Bush House of Cards. But I don't want to wait that long.

20. I agree. It makes * look worse, and firring him might be the end
rather than an aggressive criminal prosecution.

Having a criminal traitor on staff will create dissonance in many loyal * supporters.

I think your assessment is right on the mark. It might take heat off of the Admin if he fires Rove.

The longer Rove stays in the WH, the worse it gets for Bush, and the better it gets for us.

23. Who cares, it's not really Rove we're after - repeat after me - DSM DSM
Going after Rove is like running a race to come in second. If we take down Bush, we also take down Rove. But what would be sweet is if Rove rolls on Bush. I won't say it couldn't happen but wouldn't it be fucking awesome if he did.
