Special election in Ohio's 2nd |
|
Has anyone seen any poll numbers on this special election between GOP nominee Jean Schmidt and Paul Hackett, a moderate Democrat who served in Iraq? From what I have been reading we may have a real chance to pick up this seat from the repubs. James Carville and Max Cleland, have both been to Ohio to campaign for Hackett.

2. No. I haven't seen the poll numbers but it appears he has an outstanding |

chance .. i've been to his website. I liked what I read but that's meaningless except to say, he sure the hell doesn't sound like a war mongering neo-con - and of course he's going to be a good representative for the troops on the ground (one hopes) not the brass in the Pentagon armchairs.
Troops are the new underclass in this country. I have the sense that this candidate will be fighting on their behalf with everything he's got. but that needs to be checked.

3. It's the most puke seat in Ohio |

Over 60% for * in 04. It's nice to make an effort in any special election (why not?) but don't expect him to even come close.
