How much will Stewart be bashed tonight
I remember the night Jon Stewart had Colin Powell on, there were a couple of threads bashing Jon Stewart saying he's becoming a republican and things of that nature. Tonight as most of you know he's got the next ex-Senator from Pennsylvania on. Stewart will make a few jokes about the Hitler comments and the man-on-dog stuff, but those expecting Stewart to really go after Prick will likely be very dissapointed.

1. I expect there may be a few "Stewart's gone to the dark side" posts,
unless he pulls out a .38 and shoots Santorum.

2. Stewart will be funny and polite.
He also always treats his guest with respect.

4. but why have him on at all?
That's what I don't understand. Colin Powell is one thing, but fucking Prick, no way! Why??

3. I know what you mean
I think alot of people miss the point about Jon's show. Too bad, since he has done more to awaken the slumbering middle of the roaders than anything or anyone.

8. In case anyone's forgotten
the point of the Daily Show is getting laughs for Comedy Central. Jon will be polite, but he will make him look like and idiot. Easiest way to do that is just quote him. And Santorum's reason for being there is to shill his raggedy ass book. Which will give Jon plenty to work with.

5. Jon will not go easy on Santorum.
Colon Powell is certainly a BushCo shill and a liar, but he still commands common "respect" for some reason. Maybe because he's former military. Santorum is a pure piece of shit.. Jon and his audience both know it. Give him hell Jon.

11. I guess it depends on what
Your definition of "going easy" is. For some if Stewart doesn't do what NYC Girl said they'll be bashing him. Stewart wont get into a shouting match with Santorum and start calling him a liar, that's not him, and I believe some people here will bash him if he does anything short of that. I think the best you can possibly hope for is a repeat of the Bernard Goldberg interview.

6. Maybe Santorum will bring a fetus on the show.
You know, to let Jon sing to it?

9. It's hardly surprising. When the real TV journalists are jokes,

many of us naturally assume that a comedian would be a TV journalist.

12. If I hear any of that, they'll have to answer to ME

I also think we should follow-up on tonight's broadcast with an Anti-Santorum campaign.

See thread:
So, what do we do AFTER Santorum is on The Daily Show tonight?
