Our wedge issue should be WORKER'S RIGHTS!!!!
So many working class rethugs vote against their best interests its ridiculous. Are they just plain stupid or what???

Drive home the message that rethug = rich getting richer. Period. Scream it out as loud as they scream out about abortion.

1. Working-class repukes
They'd rather see their kids starve to death, or die from a disease their meager income couldn't cover, before they'd be willing to share power with women and/or racial and ethnic minorities.

4. Is there a way to show them
that it's better for them than giving power and wealth to those who already have it?

2. I agree and if Dems had the balls to bring up the New Freedom Commission
it would help. You know the program that makes it possible for the school system to test your children without your permission. They are all ready doing it in Indiana, Illinois, and Texas; it's suppose to be in ALL 50 states.

Big pharma wrote this legislation, that medication ala Brave New World is a population control is just a plus.

Don't believe me google TMAP, Teen Screen, and New Freedom Commission/Initiative.

5. Our wedge issue should be fairness in policy - not policy that
benefits a narrow elite.

6. rethug legislation has dwindled workers rights down to nuthin!
even here in Cali. At will employees can be fired because the wind blows east instead of west. And in terms of the courts it's worse. Did you know that you can be groped at work but if it only happens once there is no "hostile" work environment. Now that's some activist judges for you. Arghh!

10. Rethug policy of making anything politically great policy has dwindled
the middle class and increased the gap between rich and poor. Right in between Mexico & Russia on that count.

The middle class. We should be for growing the middle class.

Workers is a loaded word. What about people who want safe public education and say run their own business. With deregulation & world competition - much, much more of the middle class will be in their own small businesses. Think web designers and such.

You don't want to count those people out. Middle class is the best way to paint the picture.

9. Apathetic working class? Solution: scare them.
These people have a lot of scary stories to tell and could sure use a lot of support, financial and otherwise.

11. It's difficult to make people believe that they are part of the underclass
It's much easier to appeal to racism than it is to inform people that they are part of an "underclass." Racism always trumps classism. You can always make poor racists forget that they are poor.

13. Make believers out of them
Show them the gated communities & lavish lifestyles their fellow GOP "masters" enjoy and then drive home the point that they'll never be able, or even be allowed to enjoy the same lifestyle.

14. Absolutely Right
Take the example of Vermont Independent Bernie Sanders--he wins Republican counties by landslide proportions--again and again--On exactly that strategy

--But--Let me add--It works for Bernie--because he really believes it.
