Why is John Roberts not a politician?
He has all the qualities of a typically generic Republican, with Dan Quayle-like "good" looks. Seems to me he should have run for office by now. The question is, why hasn't he?

I have my suspicions, but I'd like to know what others think.

3. That's a wonderful question!
I can think of two things: One, what you're thinking--he's hiding something that would prevent him from running. Two, he's the type to take the comfortable road instead of chasing power, so he's been content to be a lawyer until now.
