Cuella (D-TX) on Cspan singing praises for CAFTA ...
He's been facing a barrage of calls that are against CAFTA. He just repeats that CAFTA is good for his Laredo district ... yeah right America be damned!!

His education is in international trade so he has to know the scoop. He keeps saying it will create jobs in the US ... the callers are saying BS we didn't get jobs with NAFTA we lost them.

God I hate to see a Dem supporting CAFTA!

5. Shoot the first caller from TX shot him a new asshole ...
told him that not only would he not vote him, he'd spend his money to get him out of office. The whole thing wasn't pretty.

2. damn ... this is horseshit ...
I have to add ... now they have an R ... Virgil Goode from Virginia on who is against CAFTA ...

Now does this leave viewers with the impression that Rs are against and Ds are FOR CAFTA???

If I didn't know better I sure would be left with that impression!

8. Yep, it leaves that impression and I think it is quite intentional.
:puke: Of course, if the dems stood together the media whores couldn't get away it.

7. Goode has been D, I, and R
He started out as D switched to I and then switched to R. Sounds like he ended up with the party that would get him votes.

He was asked if he was gonna switch back to D but of course he said no.

9. It's bad enough that he's voting for the piece of shit...
but to go on c-span and participate in this dem-pro-CAFTA/rethug-anti-CAFTA charade is unforgivable! Who's ready for a get-this-fucker-out-of-office fund?! And I don't want to hear why he is better than some puke--this is party treason.

6. Saw that... he's a trade broker. He's planning to make some $s off of
CAFTA. No one confronted him on his livelihood. He also said that trade was the primary "industry" of his district. What kinda happy horsehockey is that? Trade is not a commodity or a product, but a mechanism by which those are exchanged. He also gave the old "jobs, jobs, jobs" mantra and kept going on about how the countries involved now have their products imported into the US "duty-free". Would not address how jobs would bleed out of the US as a result and did not necessarily mean that the plight of the worker in CA would improve.

Rob once tried to gin up some * support calls, and happily took one from Texas only to hear the caller roundly dis NAFTA as the one thing he thought his party was dead wrong on.

11. Rest easy my friends
Cuellar is a DINO & has already drawn 2 opponents for his seat in 2006- Ciro Rodriguez & Richard Raymond. He also got soundly spanked on Saturday at a Border Issues Town Hall Meeting here in Laredo, and by a local university professor as well!! It was very obvious that Cuellar has been told how to vote & was only capable of dishing out talking points in response to the professor's specifics regarding the downside of CAFTA. He also was very arrogant & rude, making faces at the professor every time he said something that Cuellar had been told not to agree with. I'm surprised he hasn't jumped parties yet & he might do that if it looks like he's going to lose the primary in March.
