Lo and behold, what do I find? An excellent article by Mark Crispin Miller that outlines nicely the astonishing number of 'unusual electoral events,' i.e., fraudulent GOP activities, that took place in Ohio in the 2004 "election." I must admit, when I saw the cover talking about electoral fraud, I was floored. It's the first place I've seen any such straightforward discussion of the issue, and one I've been desperately wanting to read about in Harper's.
"And only eight months too late," I thought.
on edit: Crispin Glover?!?

Crispin Glover? Whatever was I thinking? Perhaps some desire to go "Back to the Future" to repair the inestimable damage that has been done to our Republic as a result of these power-mad Caligulas.
Perhaps it is my density...my destiny.

6. It's a great issue, I read it yesterday |

There was another good article by Bill McKibbon about how a "Christian Nation Gets Christianity So Wrong"
He really breaks down the sickly and perverted form of Christianity that most Americans practice.
Very good read.

8. Lapham's synopsis of the article: |
|
Edited on Wed Jul-27-05 02:06 PM by deutsey
Miller "asks why the news media don't take a more lively interest in the vote-rigging that fouled last year's presidential election in Ohio. Why no expression of public outrage in response to the report issued by Rep. John Conyers (D., Mich.), and why, in the private conversations that drift across the country's suburban lawns, so little speculation about the probable molesting of America's child mind on an even grander scale than was dreamed of in the philosophy of Michael Jackson?"
PS: Lewis Lapham is the editor of Harper's.

|
this administration has no rules...anything is fair game and any and all laws are broken also if they think they can get away with it. They own Justice in this country...a rigged election here or under our occupation in another country... no problemo. No justice.
