If Santorum ran for President, what is the first thing Democrats would say
about him? Would he be stupid? Would he be a right-wing nut? Would he be a Christian fascist? Would we be as predictable as always in our name-calling? Or could we possibly come up with something original?

1. Call him on family values
He has 6 kids between 4 and 14.

How can he be a good father and give each of them quality time while being in campaign for the next 4 years, then president for may be 8.

Kids need a father too.

4. He also brought his wife's dead miscarriage home to show his kids
Probably not something the Dems would use, but it's still incredibly fucked up.

5. Would that be an effective argument?
I'm serious. I do not want to see Santorum as the candidate and see us following the predictable lines of attack..

Santorum says it takes a family (father and mother) to raise kids. How can he seriously say he raises his SIX kids while he is campaigning for such a long period.

It would obviously not work with the fundies, but it could with swing voters, particularly women

24. According to the Santorum family values
mom stays home to raise and home-school their brood thus freeing up the husband to pursue his manly duties of putting bread on the table, banging his wife and creating more little Santorums.

19. That's not a family. It's a litter!
You'd have to be the village idiot to not see that there are already way too may people here.
That, or it's his attempt to prove his manhood.

Drive that one home. Also, he isn't very well liked by the freepers. Lurk on over there every once in a while to hear the harsh words for him.

6. Somebody posted that he's a carpetbagger
He lives in VA and has a tiny house in PA so he can be a senator.

Also that he screws the PA town's taxpayers by charging them for his kids' private schooling.

I'm sure somebody can explain it in more detail. The man is a slimeball

11. I think that is an argument with meat on it....
better than simple name-calling. And should be in front if Santorum announces. Because he cannot offer a good explanation.

16. Here's a story about his house and the school taxes

and
http://www.outsidethetent.com/wp/index.php?name=sick-of-rick-part-2&page=

A lot has been made of Rick Santorum's residency in the past few months.

1.) Penn Hills (PA) school district paying $38,000 a year for his children's cyber schooling.

2.) His wife won a $350,000 civil suit against a chiropractor. The claim was filed and the judgement was awarded in Virginia. (Umm, yeah, Santorum is trying to limit these types of judgements to $250,000 -- she filed for $500,000 and Rick Santorum testified on her behalf)

3.) The Pittsburgh Post Gazette wants to know if Senator Santorum (R-VA/PA) is behind the recent push-polling done against members of the Penn Hills School District.

4.) Then there are the actual home that Rick Santorum owns in Pennsylvania. The home that supposedly houses his wife, six children, and the two people that he rents it to in Pennsylvania.

That's a total of 10 people that live in this place:

You got it -- Ten people sharing:

Stories: 1.5
Bedrooms: 3
Bathrooms: 2
Sq. Feet: 2071
Full Market Value: ~ $106,000

And we are supposed to believe that his family lives here instead of their $757,000 home in Leesburg, Virginia? Come now.

10. Epoch shattering hypocrite
Edited on Thu Jul-28-05 10:50 AM by ModRepubinPA
Talks about morals and yet he found it moral to "take" money from the Penn Hills school district while living in Virginia

Claims he "needs" to live in Virginia to be a hands on father, and yet, sees no reason other fathers shouldn't have to work out of town or multiple jobs to support their families.

Believes in smaller government, but felt the need to interject himself into the Schiavo circus by voting for Federal intrusion and even making a personal appearance in front of the hospice.

Wants to limit malpractice awards to $250000 but, being true to form, he and his wife sued her chiropractor for half a million.

Believes women should stay at home raising (and homeschooling) their kids but he has NEVER voted in support of legislation to assist with child care and, I believe, voted against the family medical leave legislation.

Oh, and I could go on all day...but won't.:banghead:

12. And seems to be out of touch with reality...
by thinking that every Mom can afford to stay home with the kids. Many Moms work because they have to. They don't have the luxury of the Santorums.

Too much! These people have no shame; No conscience. Walking dead. No. Worse than nothing.

The more one gets to know these people, the more there is to hate. Damn. I used to think everyone was nice. These people are to be feared.
