Congressman Bobby Rush Endorses Wes Clark
Didn't see this on here, so I thought I would post it.

Fromt clark04:
Little Rock - Congressman Bobby Rush (D-Il) today announced his endorsement of Wesley Clark's candidacy.

"I relish the opportunity to work with a person who's leadership abilities and commitment to the American people is unparallel," Congressman Rush said of General Clark. "Gen. Clark is a man who would be inclusive to all regardless of race, color, or creed."

"Bobby Rush has been fighting for the working people of Chicago his whole life," Clark said of the Congressman. "In the speeches I give to supporters around the country, I talk about faith, about how the real men and women of faith are the ones who do for those less fortunate then themselves. Bobby Rush has been helping low income families his entire life." Clark continued, "Congressman Rush represents the best America has to offer and I am deeply honored to receive his endorsement."

Congressman Rush is an ordained Baptist minister and is the Pastor of Beloved Christian Community Church in the Englewood section of Chicago. He represents the first congressional district of Illinois. He is a member of the powerful House Committee on Energy and Commerce and serves on four Subcommittees: the Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations, the Subcommittee on Telecommunications and the Internet, the Subcommittee on Energy and Air Quality, and the Subcommittee on Environment and Hazardous Materials. Congressman Rush is also a co-chairman of the Congressional Biotech Caucus.

1. Interesting...
Frankly, I know more about the Black Panther Rush than I know about him as a Democratic congressmember. But I think he must be a progressive voice if he's true to where he came from.

Blast from the past
I haven't really kept up with this guy, but his committees are in line with Clark's interests and he's a superdelegate.

So, good!
