VIDEO-Jean Schmidt: Queen of the Talking Point
http://www.crooksandliars.com/2005/07/30.html#a4231

Jean Schmidt appeared on Hard Ball last night to have a chance to tell us why she should win the OH-2 election.

When Gregory asked her if Hackett has more credibility about Iraq because he was a veteran and had served there. Jean replied that she went to a soldier's funeral. When David pressed her on Hackett's experience, she replied that he sounds like Nancy Pelosi. When Gregory says that she sounds like the president's talking points, she hesitated...and well just watch. David, don't mess with her talking points. At one point she starts yelling at Gregory... pretty pathetic.
Americablog says: Not to mention, craaaaaaazzzzyyyyyy. Check out about three and a half minutes into this interview - she kind of starts to lose her cool in a kooky way. Also, she's one big GOP talking point, no substance whatsoever. With regards to Iraq, she thinks it's all going real well. "The best defense is a good offense," is what she'd tell President Bush about the war. Uh huh.

Oh, check out 6:40 into the video, she loses it again. What a fraking witch. Oh my! Gee, tightly strung much? Then she gets on a roll and just doesn't stop even for air, she gets more and more and more wound up. Oh my God, what a nut.

1. What a fucking KOOK!

She'll be lucky to get 10% of the vote (if ethical voting processes are in place, that is...)

2. ..?We were listening to a thug, Saddam Hussein, who said he had WMDs??

What a nut.
Also her advice for Bush is to "listen to the people that are leading us in that effort" (i.e., in Iraq). I'd like him to follow that advice too. Starting with the guy who says he doesn't blame the rebels.

6. I sat and watched the video
Holy cow, there's no derailing Jean Schmidt! She had her talking points to go through, and nothing Gregory said, asked or did would knock her off the track. And she's got the arrogant Republican patter of what every person in her electorate thinks down perfectly. I wouldn't have thought that border security or the estate tax were the heueueueueuege issues she says they are, but there's no arguing with her -- really. She just keeps yapping no matter what you say or do.

Gregory was incredibly polite to the hag. It wouldn't surprise me in the least to find out her sister had died during a twister when a house fell on her.

7. I was effing dizzy after watching that! Is she Ari's sister in-law?
Man is this one whacked out woman... she contradicted herself so many times I lost count... one she said Saddam claimed he had WMD's then did not allow us to go in... WRONG! A lie! Iraq denied over and over they had not WMD's and DID let the inspectors in... our "brave" (sarcasm) president is the one who told the inspectors to leave or risk being killed in a bombing raid by us. Secondly she said the president should trust the people who are in charge of the military etc... for advice... Hello!?! MAJOR Hackett of the United States Marine Corps who was there (unlike this chicken-hawk pinko bitch) and his point is valid. Frankly I did not know if this was woman was Ari Fleischer's sister in-law or what. It was one talking point after another verbatim.

Major Hackett HAS to win here! I am going to send more money for the final push...

BTW: can we start an email campaign to get rid of Tweety? He really sucks. David Gregory is so much better a interviewer and his ratings in conjunction with ObermanS would go through the roof!!!

I watched a rerun at about 4 in the morning, and, after a minute, muted it after Gregory asked a question.

she went on and on and on and on and on and on......I couldn't believe it. It was very interesting to see how crazy she looked, without being able to hear what she was saying

she reminds me of a leathery Cloris Leachman on bad crank

After the attacks in London, they are still giving that line?

Gimme a break. If al Qaida could set off attacks on the transit system in London, they could set off attacks on the mass transit system of an American city. Invading Iraq did not make anybody safer from these thugs.

11. She's was terrible
If she wins, it won't necessarily be written off to Diebold; this is, after all, a heavily Republican district. However, that Hackett has a prayer on Tuesday in a district that went 60% for Bush last November owes itself to Mr. Bush's falling popularity and to what may be an uninspiring campaign from the Republican candidate who can't get off message long enough to answer a simple question.

12. Some quotes from Crooks and Liars:
"You think her handlers could have give her a tall glass of puppy blood, she looks a little dried out"

"When did they take the scarecrow off the stick?"

I know, I'm easily amused.
