A young freeptard I know thinks he is a brilliant young conservative. He posts on this forum as "anachronism". He is crowing over the Bolton nomination tonight. Feel free to comment any way you wish, pro or con ;-).

That group is not worth my time. I should have ignored them. I doubt that more than half a dozen people even view their site.

It makes me angry when I see another generation of arrogant republicans who support pathetic characters like Bush. I can understand why they would idolize him. They share much in common. Like many of them, he was born into comfort and power. Like him, their patriotism is all talk and no action. Bush had to endure the slight inconvenience of having to choose an arranged service in the National Guard over the draft and certain assignment to Vietnam. Daddy’s friends made that possible. He couldn’t even hack service in the "Champagne Division" of the ANG and went AWOL to avoid a physical that might have revealed his drug use. The current republican sons of lawyers, doctors, and businessmen avoid service merely through their economic standing. Putting ones life on the line is the responsibility of the underclass as they define it, not theirs. These elitists are moral absolutists who are certain that their religion, their morals, and their view how society should be structured are correct. There is not a shred of evidence for any of their beliefs but they ignore that fact. Their mistaken views are enforced through their churches and by the drone of the right wing media.

They excuse torture and treason as “fraternity pranks” and “playing politics”. They smile and stand next to Robert Novak who conspired with Karl Rove to smear Joe Wilson and ruin Valerie Wilson’s career. They joke about what fun it all is. They care little about the consequences of that smear, and that those actions might cause someone’s death, and most certainly destroyed years of work by the CIA to set up an operation to monitor the movement of real WMD’s, not the fictitious ones that Bush lied about in the SOTU address. It is just a game to these children. Let them have their playpen.
