Wes Clark's candidacy gives me reason to hope again.

Here at last was a person who's essence was centered around service to this country. A true patriot who put his life on the line for this country and nearly lost it. Who, for the vast majority of his life, earned less than $50,000 a year. Who's passion and intellect was focused not on obtaining political power or making money, but toward doing the most good for the most number of people whenever he could.

His knowledge of economics, foreign policy, and national defense makes for a potent blend. He has what it takes to make America both economically strong and internationally respected again.

He has compassion and integrity.

He knows the value of an education because as a child he had next to nothing (materially) but managed to succeed and advance primarily due to scholastic achievement.

He embodies the American dream.

Finally, his foreign policy experience, Southern roots, and veteran status give him the broadest voter appeal. He can defeat George W. Bush.
