2. From NYT:
BAGHDAD, Iraq (AP) -- Fourteen U.S. Marines and a civilian interpreter were killed Wednesday in western Iraq, the U.S. command said.

The Marines, assigned to Regimental Combat Team 2, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force (Forward), were killed in action early Wednesday when their vehicle was hit by an improvised explosive device, the military said. One Marine was also wounded.

The incident occurred during combat operations just outside of Haditha, which is 140 miles northwest of Baghdad.

9. Does it make you angrier?
I was angry when Bush stole the 2000 election.

I was more angrier when Bush stole the 2004 election.

I was more more angrier when he invaded Iraq.

I am more more more angrier now that 2000 American GIs and tens of thousand Iraqis have been killed.

Just how angry can one get?

13. Well, it's only 2005.
Still got some more time for our anger to grow even more, unfortunately.

7. The 7 may have been the death rate there on Monday
Lieutenant Colonel Steve Boylan, a US army spokesman in Baghdad, said six marines died on Monday during a battle with insurgents in the town of Haditha, 120 miles north-west of Baghdad. A seventh was killed by a suicide car bomber in Hit, about 40 miles south-east of Haditha.

It seems to be the latest zone of heavy fighting.

10. The US is trying to seal the border with Syria there.
The usual. Kill them over there so they won't kill us in... Bagdhad.

So, is 14 a total or is 20 the grand total?

...but all 6 + 14 were from Regimental Combat Team 2. Not sure about the 7th casualty from Monday.

15. Read the link in original post - 21 Marines total killed in 2 days in area
Six were killed Monday at one location (the Ohio based sharp shooters) plus one other in an IED explosion. Then 14 MORE Marines, plus an interpreter, were killed in a different incident, but in the same area. Halliburton's profits are not just blood soaked, they are now floating on a lake of blood.

12. Somebody Save Us - We Can't Wait Till 2008, Period
If bu$h's "approval" ratings are anything like the last 2 "elections," they are probably less than 5%. I couldn't be more serious.

14. I don't think the Repukes care.
This war is being fought by the poor and paid for by the future. The rest of the country seems hardly involved. Which is why it wont stop any time soon.
