1. You don't register with a party affiliation here. |
When there is a primary, you have to pick which ballot you want to vote on. It's actually better that way. There has already been talk of crossover voting to either choose or defeat candidates in the Pub party.

But the first and only time I've ever voted was in 2004.
I am only 19, so it was as soon as I could manage. :P

8. In Washington State we don't register for a party |
In the last ballot we could choose people from only one party -- but we all got the same ballot with the instructions to choose candidates from only one party.
This system is a good idea because you can't be targeted for dirty tricks -- the voting is really a "secret" ballot.

9. I am a registered Democrat... |
not that it does much good in Warren County Ohio. Land of the repukian idiots. There are no elected Democrats in the entire county, from dog catcher to township, municipal county or State office holer. It really sucks here but is my duty to give the repukians a hard time anytime and anywhere in the county!

So, I registered as a Dem so I could vote for the Democratic candidates in the primaries. Otherwise, I would be a registered Green.

31. I happen to know that conservatives in FL |
are registering as Dems so they can vote in the primaries. For what that's worth. I'm talking millionaire hard core Repukes in medium size cities. Florida is full of "old" money. And people wonder, "What is the problem with FLA?"

27. A Democrat, however, I'm thinking of switching to "no party" |
so I can vote in GOP primaries. I live in a very conservative area, and the fundies come out in droves for the primaries, which means right-wing lunatics almost always win in the general. If I'm going to be stuck with a pukes, I'd like to at least get ones as moderate as possible.

30. Don't register by party in Texas |
Just ask for a "Democrat" or "Repuke" ballot in the primaries. Lived in Florida for more years than I can remember. Always registered Dem except for before the '80 primary when I switched to Republican (my only flirtation with the dark side) so I could vote for Howard Baker in the primary.
