i want a candidate with guts, that leads, |
|
not waits to see what the polls say say before s/he speaks. i want a candidate that stands up for the working class and the environment, that will represent my interests before those of big business - and big government. i want a candidate that fights to end wars, not start or continue them. i want a candidate that will even consider*gasp* raising taxes if it means a quality education and health-care available for all of us. i want a candidate that is surrounded by thoughtful and diverse advisers so that the decisions made are the best possible. this is a complex world in which we live and no one can be expected to shoot from the hip and have any sort of success. but most of all i want a candidate that is liberal in the old fashioned sense, in the way that wellstone and humphrey and mcgovern and kucinich today are liberal - proudly, loudly, unabashedly liberal. because any idjit can look around and see this shit ain't working. and if the american people still wanna buy it, after given a clear alternative, then they'll deserve it and the rest of us can move north where the thinking people already reside.

I think the candidacy of Paul Hackett shows that the people are looking for someone who will tell it like it is, and stand up for the people.

2. what you want is a Green candidate, not yet corrupted by big |

business, corporatism, cronyism, greed and profiteering. Or, a REAL Democrat, but they are hard to find these days. A few, conyers, boxer, kucenich and a few others are still fighting the good fight.

He's the type that you describe and I believe most Americans want.

8. He had the fewest contributions from corporations than any of the |

other candidates, that's for sure. His record-breaking fourth quarter (first full quarter during the race), which surpassed even Howard Dean, was earned from us "little people" giving him money.
Now, that's a feat!

And by that I mean someone that represents the general welfare instead of the corporate wealthfare. I want someone that will stop the killing and exploitation of foreigners for the gain of "The Company." I want someone that will come clean on the past and end the war of terror by the CIA lavished on the world. I want someone that will say that Bu$h's War was the illegal blunder that it was. I want someone to get real on pollution and the environment. I want someone to reign in the military spending and the raid on the treasury by the bloodsuckers running/ruining the country.
I have long been fed up with representation without representation. I am for sweeping Congress clean of every last member just as any company changes management staff when the new owner takes over. And it would not hurt to put some of these criminals in jail and give them a taste of how far reaching their conspiracy laws are.
Warshington is not tough on crime. They are tough on competition.
