Are you going to Crawford?
Edited on Sun Aug-07-05 08:28 PM by rateyes
Amendment I: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the RIGHT OF THE PEOPLE PEACABLY TO ASSEMBLE, and to PETITION THE GOVERNMENT FOR A REDRESS OF GRIEVANCES.

Unfortunately, I cannot go to Crawford personally to help Cindy Sheehan--but, from the other threads I've read today it sounds like many DUers are going. I'm just wondering how many. If you are going, and you don't mind doing so, please post on this thread. I'm wondering how surprised I'll be!

1. Here is a map
http://maps.google.com/maps?q=Crawford,+TX&spn=0.425767,0.934113&hl=en

leave Crawford towards the north west by Prairie Chapel road

Drive until you cross Rainey Road

take to the right

take the first to the left (Mill Road)

you probably won't get that far

2. Not this week
but looking at the next week. If I can find someone to take care of my dogs, cats and horses I will be going with my husband (or without him if I need to).

5. TexasLady..you are great...
I used to live in Texas, in Ft. Worth. My brother just moved to Austin--doing a PhD at UT. Maybe I'll call him and see if he can go. If so, I'll PM you, if you say its OK, and maybe you can help him.

7. Hey, I just had a thought...
just remembered that nearby Waco is home of Baylor University. I actually did some study under teachers who are now there. I doubt they remember me, but I do know that some of them are BIG Dems. Wonder what it would take to get some of the students arriving for classes there next week to ride out to "The Ranch (ha)" for the protest---I mean, if you only got 1 in 10 you'd have well over 1000 people----there's GOT to be that many who would want to do a favor for their country. What do you think?

12. Yes, several...
It would probably be the easiest to find by going to Greatest Page and scrolling around. If I come across one, I'll post the link.
