Given Rove, Bush actions, what don't we know?

Is it conceivable that when George W. Bush said in 2003, after the identity of CIA employee Valerie Plame was leaked to the press from the White House, that he didn't already know what is now known, that his political assassin Karl Rove was the "official" who leaked this information?

Rove leaking the identity of Plame was payback for a New York Times article revealing the administration's bogus claims in the rush to war in Iraq written by her husband, former U.S. Ambassador Joe Wilson. Republicans are now demanding an apology from Democrats for pressing the leak issue and calling for Rove's security clearance to be revoked. They want the special prosecutor to do his work and demand that Democrats be silent.

Initially, Bush and Republicans viciously resisted the appointment of a special prosecutor. They also categorically denied it was Rove who leaked this information, and they had plenty to say in a smear campaign against Wilson and Plame that was no doubt orchestrated by none other than Rove.

Rove's national security breach for political gain is just the latest assault on the American people by Bush and Republicans. What's more, Bush and Republicans make matters worse by mitigating Rove's actions by saying first that Plame wasn't a "covert" CIA agent, and then saying she wasn't identified by name, only that her husband was named. If facts such as Rove leaking the identity of a CIA employee and Bush fixing intelligence are known, imagine what is still hidden.

My question is, why are republicans are now demanding an apology from Democrats for pressing the leak issue when Rove and Bush have both been exposed for the crime they committed here?

1. This statement is haunting...
"If facts such as Rove leaking the identity of a CIA employee and Bush fixing intelligence are known, imagine what is still hidden."

3. Still hidden, yes, the tip of the iceberg is all that we are allowed...
...to see, and even that is filled with gaps and holes. Our best hope is to keep pushing for more information and to disable ALL SHREDDERS in Washington D.C.

2. This is excellent, not just for it's content but for it's framing
"Bush and Republicans" keep pounding that one home, there will be no cover come 2006.
