Poll question: DK/ Hackett/ Springer which would you rather ran for Senate in Ohio? |
|
Edited on Mon Aug-08-05 02:14 PM by WI_DEM
Mike Dewine is looking vulnerable in 2006--according to polls. This could be a major win for Dems (right up there with beating Santorum in neighboring PA).
There are several credible candidates to run. Of these prominent Ohioians who would you want to run for the Senate on the Democratic side in '06?
Congressman Dennis Kucinich--very progressive, yet represents a strongly blue collar district. Firmly against the Iraqi War.
Major Paul Hackett--Received a startling 48% in the most Republican congressional district in Ohio. Called Bush a "chicken hawk".
TV/Radio host Jerry Springer--former Mayor and life long liberal. Has a very high name recognition in state.
P.S.
Why I wrote Colorado and not Ohio is bewildering?

1. I'd rather have any of them in Colorado over Salazar (since you asked) |
|
But I don't think they're eligible to run outside OHIO

3. Why not add Sherrod Brown? |
|
He's a viable candidate and promises to hammer trade issues that have hurt Ohio.

Voted for him in the primary and for anything else for which he might choose to run.
