Sherry Bohlen (PDA national field director) is going to Crawford!
Edited on Tue Aug-09-05 01:06 PM by Carolab
I just got this in an e-mail:

I'm leaving this morning for Bush's ranch in Crawford, Texas to stand in support of Cindy Sheehan whose son, Casey, was killed in Iraq last year. People from across the country are championing Cindy's cause. Many are coming to stand with her.

We'll be sleeping in a tent in the ditch along the roadside (the only place that the authorities will allow us to be). I spoke with Cindy by phone again yesterday. She said that local authorities have told her that if we're still there by Thursday we'll be arrested as "national security risks".

Watch for Cindy's story on the news. She could well be the Rosa Parks of the movement against the Iraq War. Just as Rosa refused to leave the bus, Cindy is refusing to leave the roadside. She's the spark that is igniting the anti-war movement.

Say a prayer for us all. I have wireless internet and, if I can get a signal, I'll send on-the-ground updates.

in peace and solidarity
