Atrios has just suggested that Michelle Malkin is quite possibly the Worst American and I would like to second that view. The right-wing weekly Human Events has a glowing report on Malkin's speech to young Republicans (hey, why aren't they enlisting?)where she warned against illegal immigrants in the US.

To make matters worse, Malkin said, "legislation such as California's 1994 passage of Proposition 187, which restricts taxpayer funds for such goods as free education and free hospital treatment to illegal aliens is often characterized by the elite media as racist."

"Political correctness is the hand-maiden to terrorism," Malkin warned.
Her solutions to the problem include: increased funding for border enforcement, no more amnesties, and to "start enforcing the law, now!"

Okay, DUers. These idiot Repubs are handing us another club with which to beat them: Get them on record supporting the Minuteman Project, and then ask the public how they feel about the Republican Party's support for Nazis. As one poster in that thread noted,

What disturbs me is that she was speaking to a mainstream Republican audience and was wildly applauded. Is racism that entrenched with these folks?

We need to have them answer that question in public. Seriously.

Between this and Ms. Sheehan, the Rebubbalickin's are showing their true colors (utter negative space, actually), and if we can't flog their approval numbers down to the teens with this, we are just as pathetic as any of the sheeple.

Ask your Repub congresscretin, on the record: "Do you support the Minuteman Project?"

On Saturday in Laguna Beach, twenty-five Save Our State and neo-Nazis raised a display of U.S. and neo-Nazi flags while protesting day laborers. Fifty counter-protestors responded.

Laguna Beach, CA, July 30, 2005--Fifty or more angry counter-protestors stood up to twenty-five Save Our State members and neo-Nazis today to thwart harassment of day laborers at the Laguna Beach Day Labor Center. To the stunned amazement of the counter-protestors, Save Our State members showed their true colors when the neo-Nazis raised a Confederate flag and several large Hitler youth flags, with German swastikas on a horizontal red and white striped background, amidst a field of U.S. and California flags in the parking lot across from the center.

In spite of repeated denials of collaboration with neo-Nazis, the Ventura and Orange County Save Our State group has received support from several hate groups including the National Vanguard, VDARE, and Stormfront members. They have also solicited support from Glenn Spencer's American Patrol, which published notice of the Laguna Beach event. Spencer is most infamous for a one-man firefight against an imagined invasion of Mexicans in his backyard, and in the process shooting a neighbor's garage.

S.O.S. has repeatedly denied associating with or soliciting the aid of the neo-Nazis, who have appeared with regularity at S.O.S. protests. As of this writing, a request from an SOS member to the group's leader to explain the neo-Nazi demonstration has gone unanswered.

8. Yes, but remember Ward Churchill?

He made a comment about the "little Eichmanns" in the World Trade Center, and suddenly every Democrat, progressive or liberal on every talk show was buttonholed and forced to denounce Churchill for his comment. Every nutter went on and on about Churchill, a rather insignificant personage. Yet Malkin shows up on so many cable shows, so many talk shows, so many campuses, and none of the repressive right is ever billboarded with her odious comments and forced to denounce them or her.

Just a little fairness and balance, that's all I ask. Because any semblance of a level playing field, and we mop the floor with these assholes.
