Is there a "blackout" by the MSM of what is going on in Crawford? |
|
We hear more about the wife of the escaped convict who shot and killed a marshall than about Cindy who is standing for the 1840 soldiers killed in Iraq.

USAToday, the Herald, etc.
Seems the MSM can clam up tight when they want... just like they did for the DSM, et. al. :grr:

10. I've seen a couple of 'mentions' |
|
but not in-depth stories. The first day that the story of Cindy's 'flip-flop', MSNBC did a piece and the host specifically asked about about this. I didn't see the very start of the piece, so I'm not certain if that is all that was discussed or just the last thing. It was in the afternoon.
CNN's Blog Report discussed it yesterday during their new Situation Room setup. The tease before the piece was something like "We'll see what the bloggers are saying in support of the Peace Mom". Perhaps it was my partisan peepers, but I got the impression Wolfie was setting it up as a "Ha ha ha you MotherF***ers! Support? You just wait! I'll give you your support right here!"
The piece ended with him asking, "Now, Jackie. When you say "Progressive", you're talking about "Liberal" or those that support "Liberal" causes. Correct?" To which she replied, "That's correct, Wolfe..." Hmmm, why did he then not ask what they are talking about when they say "CONservative" bloggers?
It has not been front and center, top ten, in-depth coverage. But, there has been some coverage.

It's sickening. I'm firing off as many e-mails as I can to these assholes. I hold them responsible for the direction our country is moving in. We need to start holding the press accountable for manipulating the news. It's pathetic.

13. That is why "MSM" has become irrelevant |
|
I only watch them to see what stories they are covering to distract the sheeple. You only have to watch them for about 5 minutes in the morning to know what story they are going to beat to death all day. I am always amazed when they have an interesting guest on who is making a profound point and the news bunny will say, "I'm sorry but we are running out of time". Running out of time. You have 24 hours to kill. Corporate media, totally irrelevant.

or rather their talking heads were trashing her yesterday - standard RW smear machine up 'n running.
Cindy is not a news item (btw, Olberman has not said a word) but they R all commenting on how the left is taking advantage of her fragile state - she is not in her right mind apparently.
Funny I seem to remember the wacko rong wing taking advantage of parents in Florida w/ a daughter in a persistent vegetative state. Anyone recall that minor circus? complete w/ congressional legislation that the puppet chimp FLEW back 2 DC 2 sign? I loathe these people.

23. Nothing in the Columbus Dispatch today. |

I sent them an e-mail pointing out that the Camp Casey news is all over the Internet and is available in countries that have a free press, so they might as well mention it.
It is beginning to look like we may have hundreds if not thousands of folks out there in that ditch by the end of the weekend. How are they going to ignore that?

The media wouldn't dare not cover. Or maybe if the escaped con and his wife who shot the marshall were to come to Crawford?
I say don't let up on the media. Get your own flyers made and hand them out all over your areas. Give a bried summary of who Cindy is, why she is in Crawford, and then explain how the MSM is not covering the story because of political pressures.

30. Imus was talking about her this morning but I didn't hear the |
|
whole thing because I turned the tv on when he was finishing his sentence. He said something about the "woman in Crawford who is trying to talk to that idiot, well, I don't mean idiot, but..." and then was cut off by one of his guys. But a few minutes later Dick Cavett who was a guest on his show returned to the subject of Cindy and said that he was impressed by Cindy because bush had recently said that we had to keep fighting in Iraq to honor the men who had died there, and Cindy was bringing him the message, "don't use my dead son's memory as an excuse to kill more young men." And Imus agreed.
