Brad Blog: ACVR Enlists Fake Democrat to Shill for Fake Report

The strategy being to create a fake front group, Mehlman then steps up to the plate with an orchestrated reply and hits what the corporate media perceive as a home run.

RNC Chairman Ken Mehlman’s Letter In Response To Voter Fraud Report By The American Center For Voting Rights
Contact: Tracey Schmitt

WASHINGTON – The following is a letter sent from RNC Chairman Ken Mehlman to Mr. Brian Lunde and Mr. Mark Hearne of the American Center for Voting Rights in response to their report on voter fraud entitled: “Vote Fraud, Intimidation & Suppression In The 2004 Presidential Election.”

August 9, 2005

Brian A. Lunde
Mark F. Hearne
American Center for Voting Rights Legislative Fund
1300 Eye St NW
Washington, DC 20005

Dear Mr. Lunde and Mr. Hearne:

Thank you for sending me a copy of your report “Vote Fraud, Intimidation & Suppression In The 2004 Presidential Election.” I received and examined the report last week, and I agree with you that it is vitally important that our election system be free from fraud and intimidation. When the American people walk into voting booths, they deserve to be confident in the integrity of the system.

As your report documents, this is unfortunately not always the case. And while I believe that the instances of fraud you have revealed are the exception, not the rule, that does not mean that we should accept them – and we will not.

I strongly support your proposal of a zero-tolerance policy toward election fraud and intimidation, and I would encourage Chairman Dean and the Democrat Party to do the same. The position of the Republican National Committee is simple: we will not tolerate fraud; we will not tolerate intimidation; we will not tolerate suppression. No employee, associate, or any person representing the Republican Party who engages in these kinds of acts will remain in that position. Republicans do not need to resort to fraud and intimidation to win, and no Republican who does deserves victory.

Last week marked the 40th anniversary of the signing of the Voting Rights Act. That landmark legislation made a statement of principle: the right to vote belongs to all of us, and no one has the right to take it away or dilute it by intimidation, fraud or suppression. The Republican Party will not rest until this principle is upheld.

Sincerely,

Ken Mehlman
Chairman, Republican National Committee

1. Two GREAT REASONS TO READ THIS LINK
1) It shows that the RNC *co group is creating a false flag operation for election fraud claiming that they are the victims. This needs to be countered and it is being addressed effectively by Brad Friedman, BradBlog.

2) It show that we're getting some people very nervous, the "we" would be "2004 Elections Results and Discussion Forum." When they attack us, that means we're onto something.

Great article, recommended.

7. Exactly!
And because they are attacking us it shows me they did steal the election! Other wise why would they go through all this trouble to make some fake group up?

5. Both the RNC and the DNC seem to be working hard to say that
there was no significant fraud in the 2004 election. (The DNC "Report" on the Ohio Election was a blatant whitewash.) Interesting that they're still talking about it though -- signs that the public isn't completely pacified?
