Valarie Fletcher is a former Marine who believes in the honor of military service.

But today the Seymour woman is taking her fight against the war in Iraq straight to President Bush's doorstep.

Fletcher, whose 19-year-old son Josh soon will be heading to Baghdad as a Marine Corps combat infantryman, is making the 10-hour trip from Seymour to Bush's ranch in Crawford, Texas, to protest what she believes is a misguided war.

We are in the middle of Bush country here which makes this woman's action even more courageous.

My father was occupying the seats of one of those airplanes in Vietnam that our president didn't have the time to fill. He didn't make it back. I refuse to watch my son go off for a very bad replay of Vietnam without a fight.

I can't see how the msm can continue supporting the neocons as our representatives, more and more, are people who embody the values that we hold dear! How can they really manage to continue to get away with attacking such fine human beings?
