We need some noisemakers to fight off that stupid radio station!!
Seriously anyone have drums (Im thinking djembes and djun djuns maybe bugarooboos and ashikas as well), didges, claves, rattles... the usual drum circle stuff.

The radio station that has set themselves up opposite of Camp Casey needs to hear us. As they have taken it upon themselves to loudly blare their speakers and talk crap about Cindy. I think we should make it a lot more interesting for their audio techs.

Whenever they go live, its time to lay down some rhythms... some very very loud rhythms.

Is anybody out here feeling me on this???

1. There must be some audio engineers who would know what to
do, like high pitched whistles or something, but I would think that this would be grounds to call the police. If setting foot on the stupid little road is a no-no then blasting loud bullshit must be also a no-no.

2. Thats actually my point, if they can turn up their speakers real loud

with the sole purpose to agitate Camp Casey, then I'd think we would be within our rights to do the same.

Turnabouts fair play and thats the one thing neocons turd swallowers hate the most.

edited for grammar

17. Won't their obnoxious noise actually work against them?
Seems like the neighbors will get real tired of it, and who knows, maybe there's a town ordinance against it.

There's always "disturbing the peace" charges.

3. What about those sound wave generators that negate frequencies
you set the frequency you want to negate, like dogs barking, and bingo.
A modern cone of silence.

14. No, just beat on some plastic-container drums.
They can be quite loud, and set up an excellent beat, distracting from other noises.

16. This is true
I was just about to suggest the same thing. I work in downtown San Francisco, and people in various strike marches use these to great effect.

8. One doesn't need to be an audio engineer to know how to
use a pair of bolt cutters.

OOPS, did I say that? I'd never advocate destruction of private property.

But I think setting up a drum circle in Crawford, with sattelite circles this Saturday 6-8PM during the national show of solidarity (remember to wear black) would be a wonderful idea

11. Thank you Paine!
Someone finally understood what I was getting at...

Drum circles can be a powerful force on many interpersonal levels and the media loves filming them.

4. Not that it means anything but
why not stay silent and let them irritate the community? You're in someone elses back yard. I know I wouldn't like to have some freak making a bunch of noise outside my window. If I weren't 900 mi away, I'd love to block their remote link. Just let them look like inconsiderate assholes.

5. thats nice... but Im not exactly feeling nice at the moment.
Not saying your suggestion isn't better, but if they keep it up I dont see any reason to be nice in this regard AT all.

I'm not sure they are going to irritate anyone since most of Crawford is behind Bush, they probably get little girl thrills when they mess with her.

Theres nothing wrong at all with pushing back within reason I believe....

6. Anybody got a good air horn
or at least, want to park their semi right there for when someone starts a speech?

10. Or a small megaphone and fart sound machine?
Ok maybe too crude I don't know...

but they started playing underhanded by doing what they did. Public redress and attempted humiliation is just too far damnit.

12. I thought they were across from the Peace House...
now Im confuzzled myself.

Im wondering now if the incident might not have been sorta hyped, now.

That would mean that I have overeacted, ah well.

Pre-emptive apologies if so.

13. Plastic kitty litter containers make excellent drums for protests.
And there's no problem when they have to be left behind if the cops move in.
