Does this rumor about Daryn Kagan/Rush Limbaugh make sense?
http://whatshappeningatcnn.blogspot.com/2005/08/whispering-at-watercooler.html

Whispering at the Watercooler
This from an e-mailer: "It is being whispered at CNN/Atlanta that Daryn Kagan has been passed over for any and all promotion due to her relationship with Limbaugh. If she has a job at the end of the year at CNN it will be a miracle. Bosses are not happy with her boyfriend and his daily bashing of the network."

==========================================================

I don't listen to Rush Limbaugh.

Does he mention CNN often enough for CNN executives to be angry with him?

1. It makes a lot more sense than a fairly decent looking woman
going out with a fat ass drug addict.

13. I'll bet you're on to something. Daryn probably told her bosses
to start this rumor so she could break it off with lardass "to save her career".

14. Sorry
I think and always have thought even before she started dating the Vulgar Pigboy that she is butt-ugly.

2. Why on earth does Rush Limbaugh bash CNN?
They do a pretty good job keeping anything contrary to his agenda nicely on the back burner.

4. Because they don't jump fast enough for Rush...
Besides, he's made a living out of bashing CNN his whole "career". If he stops now, the RWers will suspect him of being a flip-flopper, a very serious crime against humanity....

21. To maintain the myth of the Librul media. Without that myth, they have
nothing to blame the bad news on. Any truth that might squeak by and the networks are slimed with the terrible charge of Librulism.

3. Maybe it's her new (darker) hair color ...
She looked better before the new 'do. IMHO, she ought to dump the old gasbag -- she strikes me as being too smart to be stuck with such a geezer but there's NO accounting for taste.

5. Yeah, right
CNN brass have said out loud they want to be more like Limpballs (all rw-propaganda all the time). Having his wife on the air would be their wildest dream.

6. Do you mean Rush is actually right about something?
No, CNN sucks but not for the reasons Rush gives. It sucks for trying to be like Rush. I think it is just as likely Rush will be working for CNN.

7. Perhaps her relationship is impacting her work product
It could be she isn't carrying her share of the load, and she herself started the rumor to appear put-upon.

She's obviously not the sharpest knife in the drawer; the guy has been married a couple of times, and there's got to be some reason why he cannot make a relationship work other than plain bad luck.

You'd think she could do better, but maybe they enjoy being mutual victims, with him getting excoriated by the evil liberals, and her by her bosses who expect a day's work for a day's pay.

Lotsa relationships have been built on far less!

9. I've never heard about any kids, either
Kagan would probably want children, if she isn't too far over the hill. Rush probably can't have them or doesn't want them.

He can't have (biological) kids b/c he's a self-hating closeted gay man.

18. Jeff Christe...
if I am not mistaken. Does anyone have a link that talks about Rush (Christie) being gay.

Of course I could care less, but Rush pretty much hit the trifecta of RW family values: 1) He is a draft-dodger 2) He is a drug-addict 3) He is gay (even worse to the fundies than being thrice divorced)

10. Since Kagan is a PNAC Hellspawn, I'm not buying it.
The fact that CNN hired her in the first place is just one of many reasons that they lost all claim of being part of the non-existent "librul media".

11. She used to be a sportscaster here in Phoenix, and she just really
wasn't good.

She's reached her "Peter Principle" as an anchor. IMHO, her lack of quality occurred long before her unfortunate choice of mates--way back here in the desert.

He sure as hell hasn't helped, though.

15. Speaking of which...
Somebody here on DU (and I can't remember who) posted a picture of her in her Phoenix days.

She looked, how we say, different back then.

Kinda, well, how should I say this, um, pre-op.

If someone could post that picture again...

16. Kagan must really be hurting if the best she can do is Limbaugh....
Another 'family values' thrice divorced hypocrite. I am willing to. I am also willing bet he hasn't seen his penis in two years, and his testicles look like Raisinettes. The Oxycontin he took in massive doses, killed off whatever sex life he had.

His sperm need crutches to get around, since they are either so feeble ot too damn stoned to navigate normally w/flagella. Besides, any egg within 10 feet of one of those crippled sperm, would immediately encase itself in fibrous material to avoid contact with one of them! Evolution and humanity protects itself....

20. Another victim!
She must have let this out because why would CNN say something like this.

RW'ers always like to be victims and martyrs. None of them are inferior in any way - just oppressed for their right wingedness.

Bet there are lots of reasons she has hit her peak. Saw her on CNN recently and she is frightening looking. Don't think talking heads HAVE to be attractive but her physical decline combined with her relationship with a rabid lying winger would cause viewers to wonder.

I very rarely tune into CNN, but it seems whenever I do I end up doing so while this waste of carbon is delivering her lines. Ugh.
