Fox Whore Gibson: Allow Cindy "to sort of roast Bush over a slow fire?"
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,165525,00.html

(SETTING THE STAGE...John Gibson, filling in on "The O'Reilly Factor," is speaking with Dem Strategist Mary Ann Marsh on whether Bush should speak with Cindy Sheehan. Apparently it would be wrong to speak with him for several reasons):

GIBSON: Maybe. But what would you have him say, other than allow her to sort of roast him over a slow fire? What's the point exactly...except embarrassing the president at a bad time in Iraq and a bad time in his polling numbers?

MARSH: Well, that's the fact. Here's the problem, John. George Bush is the president of the United States. He owes everybody, not just Cindy Sheehan and the families of the 1,800 men and women who have given their lives for our country over there, but all Americans, because the majority of Americans now doubt his leadership about the war in Iraq. He owes everyone an explanation to simple questions like why is it going so badly? How much longer are we going to be there? Are we winning? Are we losing? Those are the questions that Cindy Sheehan really wants answers to.

---snip---

GIBSON: There is not an answer when we're coming home. You know that. What are you going to do? Are you going to tell Zarqawi (search), wait until October and we'll be gone? That sounds like a really intelligent strategy. It may satisfy Cindy Sheehan, but please, if you're in the circles of power, you're not going to recommend that, Mary Anne.

MARSH: Oh, John, two things. First of all, George Bush artfully today said I don't think it would be right to pull out today. Yet everybody in the Bush administration from Rumsfeld on, every TV station, newspaper, everyone's reporting we're pulling out troops sometime six months from now, next spring. So is it today or six months from now? What's the difference?

3. If Bush was a true leader,
in a just cause, he would sit with Cindy in front of a tv camera, and broadcast their conversation to the entire country. He could use the opportunity to show he's truely compassionate, and at the same time, show his "courage" to those who believe that he has none to show. Bring it on.

6. And use said media op to repeat his message/propaganda, assuming
he believes in it enough - and it is still believable enough (by the american people) to put out there....

7. yes
and if this cause is so "noble", it should be easy for him to articulate it. No, he's afraid because Cindy would shoot down any argument he made.

i think an out and out traitor like gibson (referring to national media exposure) would be run down if he tried his traitor shit in canada, mexico, brazil, france, syria, russia, germany, the koreas, burma, paraguay, n.zealand, italy, chile, pakistan, egypt etc....yet he prospers in the US!
somehow, it just defies logic

10. Not Cindy's questions
Marsh said:
He owes everyone an explanation to simple questions like why is it going so badly? How much longer are we going to be there? Are we winning? Are we losing? Those are the questions that Cindy Sheehan really wants answers to.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't really see those as the questions Cindy wants answered. I think Cindy's questions are much more basic:

* WHY are we fighting there? What is the REAL reason we started a war there? Every justification you made has proven to be false.

* Why are you continuing to LIE by saying this is a fight against terrorism in response to 911? Why don't you acknowledge the REAL causes of terrorism?

* WHY don't you hold anyone accountable for the mistakes and lies that led to this deadly and expensive misadventure?

Cindy is NOT ASKING WHEN the troops will start being brought back home. SHE IS DEMANDING we BRING THEM HOME NOW! She wants everyone responsible for blundering us into this disaster HELD ACCOUNTABLE! She has been very clear on these points.

This pundit pablum from the so-called "left" is trying to water down her outrage. Administration officials have repeatedly given their answers to the mushy questions Marsh puts in Cindy's mouth-- WE JUST DON'T BELIEVE THEM. The Media is afraid to ask these hard questions and Bush is afraid to face Cindy because she has the courage to ask.

19. And she has one even more basic
It was the question that cemented her resolve to go to Crawford. Bush was prattling on about the "noble cause" of his illegal war in Iraq, and Mrs. Sheehan would simply like to know what that noble cause is.

Very few things are more effective than clobbering a person with his own words.

Edited on Sat Aug-13-05 11:21 AM by xxqqqzme
If they're going 2 talk about her and the crawford coward, the very LEAST they can do is get her message right! christ on a cracker, everutime Cindy speaks she asks the same question 'what is the noble cause?' why did you(coward) lie to us?

What is so f*cking hard about those 2 questions? Same 2 questions, w/ very little deviation, most of us have been asking for the last 30 months.

Yes, there should B a warning when that picture is used. Creepy does not begin 2 describe it.

11. Gibson: Terrorism Advocate
After the London bombings of 7/7, he said something like, "Too bad the French didn't get the Olympics. Then they would have bombed Paris, and who cares?"

Sweet guy. I wish I had a daughter so I could forbid her to marry him.

13. In honour of that
Terrorists could bomb the studios where Fox News programs are made, and I certainly wouldn't care.

If that sounds evil, I don't care, especially not after what these pukes said about the attacks on my country. :grr:

It always shocks me to see his mug come up time after time. But it does appear that water sought its own level and he is now firmly ensconced at Faux.

17. I actually heard him for the first time yesterday.
I was traveling in Northern MN and his show was all that I could dial into. I lasted 4 minutes.

Why does he feel the need to SCREAM? It's a mystery to me. Since when does screaming into a microphone qualify as radio?

There is something seriously wrong with him. I'm not kidding.

28. Bush's major defect is that he doesn't do press conferences.
And when he does, he only answers canned questions.

We've seen examples where the British government roasts their leadership.

It should be a rule that a President must do an unscripted live town-hall every two months at least where citizens may ask questions. It should move from state to state.

For security, he doesn't even have to actually *be* in the location...just use one of those magical CNN video screens. That would take two hours out of one evening every two months. It would be a great CSPAN event.

29. 15 Minutes are almost up
and when this rhetorical event is over with, and the MSM has gone on to other assignments, how will Cindy make a difference? Or, will she become a blip on a "That Was the Week that Was" review?
I am very cynical about this whole event and I don't have much hope for any significant change. It'll be business as usual, folks.

31. BOYCOTT O'REILLY!
Perhaps the best way to deal with those in the media who report lies as fact is to STOP watching them, STOP quoting them, STOP increasing their ratings! Start with O'Reilly NOW! Anyone who values TRUTH must not appear on his shows!
