Four Days @ Camp Casey : Just Got Home
Edited on Mon Aug-15-05 01:49 AM by Dylan Garcia
I can't really describe the emotions I am feeling right now. I just spent four days in Crawford with the most inspiring group of people I have ever met. I worked 20 hour days in the blistering sun, dust, and mud. I slept an hour or two each night in a roadside ditch with redneck yahoos driving past me blowing their horns.

I worried about my wife and daughter and the prospect of fire ants, rattle snakes, heat stroke, and counter protesters.

No shower, no shave, no comfort.

I can't wait to get back.

America is being reborn on Prarie Chaple Road.

If you you want to see true American patriots, look in the ditches along side the asphalt. That's where you'll find them.

We all owe you big time! Trying to return America to Americans and out of the hands of corporate neocons. Thank you!

8. Welcome home, Buddy, and
a big Thanks for all you and Annie are doing for Cindy and her group of patriots.

Can you clear up some of the "legal" questions about the encampment? The man who fired the shotgun....what happens if he invites others onto his land to "hunt?" Are counter-demonstrators allowed to use the road, but Cindy's group disallowed? What are the rules about camping out in the ditch? What about your call for everyone to come to Crawford on the weekend of the 27th? Will there be a mass rally that day? Have plans been made for Cindy and group to follow bush to DC?

Questions, questions! Inquiring and admiring minds want to know!

Thanks, Ann

9. For those of you who do not know....
Buddy and his wife Annie are the on-the-site lawyers for Cindy. They began the Louisiana Activist Network which put on the very successful Jazz Funeral for Democracy march on Inauguration Day this year. They have planned the Peace Train to the Washington DC rally on this September 24th. www.newdemocracyrising.com

10. Thanks for participating!
Sounds like conditions were pretty bad, but you made the best of it. I'm so glad you and others are making a difference.

11. Good for you!!!
Bless you for doing that!

How would you feel if people all over the country put up tents, crosses and signs in their front yards to show support of what you have done and what Cindy is doing? As someone who has been there, your opinion should count:)
