Wes Clark: "Our president is not doing his job."
When Bill Clinton was president, Clark said, diplomacy would be used before troops were sent in, while the troops were there and after the troops left.

snip

As Americans, and as Democrats, we start with a sense of conviction for all mankind, Clark said. "We stand for equal opportunities. We believe in bringing people together and being all we can be."

That's what Democrats believe in, he said, where family values, decent wages, education and health care for every American is "not just an opportunity, but a right."

Clark urged those in attendance to get involved. "Make your voice heard. Let's have a loud voice, go to Washington, and get Bush to do his job."

This was at the Clinton Day Dinner.

1. He just keeps getting better and better
He's framing the issues perfectly and articulating Democratic values in a simple straightforward way. Way to go Wes!

5. Well.....
Bush is SUPPOSED to have a job....but I think he thinks it's PLAYING President....in which case he's done a fucked up job of PLAYING President so far. That boy needs to become unemployed ASAP--like back on November 3rd.

Poor Wes.....seems like he knows something the President doesn't.

Hell, matter of fact, we all do.

6. Didn't Clark once say something about Chimp being out of his league,
"employed above his pay grade" or something like that, meaning he's not up to the job? I can't remember the quote.

14. Got it!
I'd never heard the quote...but damn, I wanted to see it once it got brought up here:

Gen. Clark in an Ark. Times article: "Say you like Bush, but you think he is slightly over his pay grade."

4. Common sense is what Wes Clark is all about!
When Bill Clinton was president, Clark said, diplomacy would be used before troops were sent in, while the troops were there and after the troops left.

"Our president is not doing his job," Clark said. Instead of talking to help diffuse the situation, "he's put all the burden on the men and women in uniform."

12. It's not about what we know...
It's about telling those who don't have a clue....what they should know but don't seem to.

Let's try to get that disapproval rate down some more....K?

I've had soooooooooo many compliments about that on this board since I stuck it in my sig line.

It was taken at the Clinton Day Dinner in Clark County, Ark. by ktownsandy over at CCN.

Lovely, lovely, lovely smile. :)

29. Break away, break away
I'm telling you, if every woman in this country saw that picture, there would be no doubt where the sheeple women's vote would go. I mean, can you imagine looking at THAT for four to eight years?

Come on!

It's about getting votes out of the proletariat, isn't it?

30. Wes could look like The Elephant Man, for all I care.
The things that make him "beautiful" to me are his courage, his compassion, his intelligence, his loyalty, his dedication, and his unashamededly outright Liberalism on social policies.

He thinks. He cares. He wants the best for ALL Americans. That, is the "beauty" of Wes Clark to me. The fact that he looks "Presidential" is just frosting on the cake.

16. Pure and simple: If Wes Clark were running the country,
no one would have to wonder if the President was doing his job, was up to his pay grade, or whether or not he was going to start WW3 on us.

And, they'd have a devil of a time trying to get him to even consider taking a vacation while any of his troops were in harm's way.

Clark worked/campaigned continuously in the run up to the November elections. Didn't he make three and four appearances a day?

21. Wes Clark would not be on vacation while troops were in the field.
Hackworth said that Wes Clark would not even let our current batch of clowns, mow his yard.
