Property owner will let Camp Casey move there - near W
"There is a meeting tomorrow at the County Commissioner's meeting to vote on closing Prairie Chapel Road and then evicting us. We were all worried about that and planning on being arrested when we got the best news yet. The property owner who owns property near Bush's ranch and right across the street from Bush's church will let us move Camp Casey there!! He has property on both sides of the road...a full acre for us to camp! We are so excited!!! We can fit more people and we will be closer to the ranch. Miracles, miracles."

Sorry if this is a dupe.

I doubt he visits it very often. He probably visits it when there is a photo op only.

32. it's not chimpy kookkoo banana's church............
Could it be the Cannan Babtist Church, located on property donated by Heinrich Engelbrecht around 1908.

Early services were conducted in German.

Nice looking old church on the high ground.

Note: that big ass white pickup that chimpy drives around really belongs to his ranch foreman, Kenneth Engelbrecht who sold his property to the Lone Star Trust, aka chimpy.

A base camp across the road from this locally historic church could be very interesting and a lot safer that the side of a county road that is now at the discression of the county commissioners. Bet they have been reading up on section 251 of the Texas transportation code. They are god, close a county road no problem, then go to district court.

40. maybe buy the "triangle" for a back up????
The local tax office has the Vansau tract at a market value of $3200 an acre and a $90 an acre ag evaluation.

Where are the cows???

Offer absentee owners Charles and Marilyn of Clermont, Florida $10,000 for the "triangle".

They would think about it.

Crazy Larry might want to sell an acre at an obscene price.

I read on DU today that the sheriff there in Crawford, had asked Cindy to please sleep at the Peace House. He said HE would sleep better knowing she was safe there. With this news, we can ALL sleep better knowing she and all the others who have journeyed to support her will be safe.

God bless this property owner.... O8)

27. Not to disrespect
God or his love...but if he does take care of his own that doesn't always mean keeping them safe and alive to a ripe old age.You have to figure all little children are his for instance.

But...still I was thinking along the same line. That God moved the heart of this owner, figuring if he had to deal with bush at this church it would be good to have some true light around too.

48. i agree with you both - God is absolute love but that does not mean
that we are kept out of harms way
or remain alive in a blissful state

not by any stretch

because God is pure love then we have free will and we are given situations to either learn or continue on or...

People in Third World countries - where Coca Cola markets relentlessly and rots their teeth - should see that picture. Next year, it'll be a Coca Cola truck in Zimbabwe, with Mugabe's murdering thugs standing in front of it in full riot gear. Or in Baghdad ...

21. Great but
will the roach on the abandoned pig farm still be obliged to run the gauntlet every time it decides to go into the outside world for e.g. kissing a millionaire donor's ass?

If Camp Casey moves away from Prairie Chapel Road, doesn't this take a lot of pressure off the roach, even if the camp will be technically closer to the abandoned farm?

How often does it go to church anyway? I remember reading somewhere last year - in the context of the presidential campaign - that it wasn't very often. At least not every week.

28. I'm not sure what this means, though ...
until we get specifics on location.

If it's on the same road, but closer to the pig farm -- cool.

But I'm not yet convinced that it isn't some ploy by the * gang to remove Camp Casey to more isolated site on a different road and therefore less of a nuisance to * (even though it may be technically closer to the pig farm).

Something tells me it might be like one of those "First Amendment Zones."

Need more details.

than where they are now. The news will follow Cindy. I hope they'll be safer. There were a few freepers driving trucks thru the camp (I think on purpose just to harass).

45. I just spoke with Dick Underhill in Austin about this very issue.
It is great to hear that one of the Crawford locals is doing this.

Dick and I were talking about the townspeople and how we are being received and how they were going to handle twice as many this weekend. There are many locals that do not support Bush and are sympathetic to our positions but have remained silent out of fear of speaking out in "Bush country", reprisals from others and well you all know the rest.

So this is wonderful news. I believe if we handle this in positive and loving ways more locals in Crawford will find the courage to speak out knowing they have so much support from around the country.

Thanks all.

Also spoke with Kay and she asked me to express her sincere thanks to all that have contributed so much.
