What makes it an "anti-war" video ?
The song and the images are more of a 'support the troops' sort of message, which is neither pro- nor anti- war, IMO.

Is it the old Leon Russell tune by the same name?
Well I guess I'll help in Vietnam Teach em how to vote and how to bomb. My life's a small enough price to pay to teach those commies american way.

3. i wish it were leon's stranger in a strange land! |

this video and song remind me of bette midler's from a distance, which was packed into the pro-war propaganda machine, but at least that song had some merits, not the least of which was midler's performance.
this is all about recalling WWII, priming the sentimental public for prolonged war.
but, all that opinion aside, why would i listen to a billionaire singing about soldiers, even though i did, having followed the link and downloaded the media? the peace movement has never enjoyed support from the elite, and now streisand is attempting to cash in on cheap sentiment. the lyrics are atrocious, and in no way at all anti-war.

5. This song is supporting the troops but NOT really anti-war... |

Sort of a modern "Don't Sit Under The Apple Tree With Anyone Else But Me" or "P.S. I Love You"? (If you don't know those songs they were WWII-era songs about waiting back home for someone you loved who was in the war.)
Absolutely love the archival film of soldiers and their loved ones mixed with the modern-day video.
Babs is doing her "pop" singing here; her voice is good (way overproduced for my taste, but still good.) The tune has a very 70's-ish Bee Gees style pops feel, which it well might since Barry Gibb is producing.

|
"How Deep is Your Love-bada bap baa da da da" Barry Gibbs....as I listened, I kept thinking this is BeeGees-not Barbra! I guess what goes around, comes around.
