I need your help...did anyone catch Arundhati Roy on NPR |
|
today? She spoke so eloquently about the general state of the world, multinationals, war-profiteers and governments in bed with one another to further their mutual power and profits...setting up the situation and cashing in on it.
As bespeaks a great writer, her speech was poetic, compelling, biting and insightful. It could be our manifesto, and is as compelling and richly detailed as Cindy Sheehan is compelling and plain-spoken.
She used the Iraq situation as just one example of a much greater, global conspiracy. Enron, Iraq, she laid it all out.
Can anyone find a transcript and post it? Please, young techies, help me - everyone should hear this.

I'd really l;ike to read some of her work but don't know where to start. I am interested in the fight against globalization.

3. I haven't read her most popular book, but check out |

"The God of Small Things". I don't think that it is necessarily political, but she is speaking on world politics now, and from what I heard in her speech today, she is definitely worth listening to and worth reading.
