Alfonso Taft was the father of President William Howrad Taft and is the Great-great Grandfather to Governor Bob Taft. It doesn't say if Prez. Taft is the Great Grandfather to Bob Taft - Bob Taft could be the son of a sibling to Prez. Taft....but yea, they're related somewhere.

5. Was President Taft as poor a leader as Governor Taft? |

I know absolutely nothing about President Taft or about thirty other past Presidents. I feel ashamed at my lack of historical knowledge of this country. I was not a good student though so I can not even blame my ignorance on the school system.

Even during his own lifetime, the public perception of William Howard Taft was defined less by who he was than by who he was not. He was not Theodore Roosevelt, and he was destined to remain in the former president's shadow throughout his presidency.
In 1921, Taft became the first and only former president to be appointed Chief Justice of the US. His deliberative and cautious approach made him a natural choice for the position.
Quotes about Taft:
"Taft meant well, but he meant well feebly." Theodore Roosevelt
