High turnout. As most of you know, turnout in Iowa was DOUBLE tournout of 2000 and TRIPLED the Republican tournout in 96. I'm really hoping to see VERY high turnout in all of these primaries. Regardless of who the nominee is, if we can keep up the tournout we'll be in good shape.

2. Oh yeah!
High Dem turnout and low Repub turnout (Given the current job market and surfacing details on Iraq)... could very well be the difference.

3. Very true...
I hope to see a very high democratic turnout especially. High independent turnout would also be good, but it's more difficult to know whether they will stay with the democrats in the long run...but all interest helps.

An important thing for us to do is point out that we're much more determined to win than the GOP was in 1996...

in the General Election in November! High voter turnout always benefits Dems most. We have to get out the vote!!

5. Record Democratic turnout expected

New Hampshire Democrats could vote in record numbers on primary day, Secretary of State William Gardner predicts.

With seven major presidential candidates to choose from and an energized base, Democrats could break a record set in 1992, Gardner said.

That, of course, was the year a candidate named Bill Clinton deflected stories about marital infidelities and placed second in the primary, starting his march to the White House. About 170,000 Democrats voted that year.

Gardner expects 184,000 Democrats to vote Tuesday, surpassing the number of residents registered in the party, 176,634. That 176,634 figure comes from the 2002 election, the last official count by the state, Gardner said.
