The Ultimate Right Wingnut Explanation For Bush's Collapsing Poll Numbers
This from Rick Moran (sic), chief clown of the quite appropriately named "Rightwing Nuthouse," responding to a cite of Bush's 36% ARG approval number:

"People are reacting to gas prices - a direct result of golden boy Clinton not building one single refinery in 8 years, nor one single nuke plant, nor having any kind of domestic energy policy that made sense."

Hmmm, never knew that Clinton was in the refinery and nuclear power game. So let's get this straight, that tricky Bill Clinton is actually responsible for Bush's exponential ratings collapse? And he did it by not building oil refineries?

That old fox!

2. Bushbots don't do accountability
It has to be a democrats fault. They are hilarious. They hold D.C. completely and are still whining? These people are fluffs.

4. Nope, they have to have somebody to blame.
Very similar to another group in history that blamed everything on Jews.

Rather than accepting reponsibility and actually trying to solve problems, they spend most of their energy coming up with excuses.

8. Nothing Is Ever Georgie's Fault!
Isn't it ironic that people with such a deep-seated psychological need for infallibility in their leader picked an incredibly flawed person for that role?

3. How long has Clinton been out of office now?
It will take at least 20 more years for these people to stop talking about him.

As for his alleged lack of an energy policy, hey, I'll take it: gas at $1.20 gallon, oil going at no more than $35 a barrel, and sometimes as low as $11 a barrel.

5. People have felt this way for a while; they're just reporting it for a ...
...change. Ya know "management" finds * too much of a risk and drain. It's time to "Say good night Georgie." Georgie: "Good night Georgie."

6. Well...
Bush has had 5 years since then to build plenty of refineries, so obviously gas prices should be down around $1 a gallon if Bush were actually doing his job!!!

(Which, of course, we all know he ISN'T!!!!!)

How does one turn off the machinery in an automaton so we don't have to listen to BushBot propaganda?

7. Isn't that precious.
A Republican saying that today. Now what if Bill had proposed building Nuke plants and oil refineries back when his world-class stewardshuip was managing oil at $23.00/bbl. I can only imagine the outrage of the same Republicans screaming about "nationalizing our energy future". Of course, they'd have been wrong and it might have been the right thing to do, but that is beside the point. No way could any such bill have gotten passed by these privitization-happy Republicans who controlled both the House and Senate.

Total, unadulterated hypocrisy.

..according to the RW. Everything he did, he did to make his successor look bad.

11. Hey, where was Bill Clinton when Natalee Holloway disappeared??
And I think that his inability to foretell the future directly lead to the backed up drive thru line at the Taco Bell last night that made my husband late getting home. If Clinton had foreseen the amount of developement that was going to occur in our area, he could have planned to have the Taco Bell built earlier and also had it supplemented with a KFC and maybe a Jack In The Box by now so that everybody in our area wouldn't be trying to get dinner from the only fast food place in town on the same night, causing my husband to be late.

Damn Clinton.
