Question for Pat Robertson |
|
Dear Dr. Robertson,
In your call for the whacking of President Hugo Chavez and subsequent lying in denial of said whacking, are you not in transgression of two of the Ten Commandments (possibly three if, indeed, you are motivated by your coveting Venezuelan oil)? Or do you, as a born-again Christian, only honor the Old Testament when it suits your political ends?
Thank you.

1. Not just his political views, but his views on life iin general as well.. |
|
This man is just plain disgusting. He is guided by greed, cares nothing of life, is willing to steal if it enriches him, is a bigot, claims only those parts of the Bible that can benefit him in this world and is generally just a plain old miserable rich fool.
He has no concept of the religion he espouses, and is merely one more "wolf in sheep's clothing"out to devour what he can, while he can, without any care or knowledge of the imprint it will leave.
In simple terms, he is evil.

2. Blast from the past- McCloskey Libel suite |
|
Let's not forget when this paragon of rabid virtue was running for President, a lone Republican liberal who once challenged Nixon in the primaries, couldn't take what was to be a string of last straws.
What riled him especially is that Robertson bragged and rubbed his fellow GI's faces in his escape from combat duty through his father's influence. One thing compounds another and compounded again was Robertson's rage at having his campaign ruined.
He sued.
Then another comrade in arms was to testify how Robertson bragged about his exploits with north Korean prostitutes(female, one presumes).
Due to pressing difficulties Robertson dropped the case and paid for McCloskey's court costs.
Seemingly only God is supposed to remember these things and hold them to heart. We poor mortals are supposed to forget the sins of "holy" men as soon as they occur. The press will rarely bring them up, will not refer to them when courting the addled audience and sponsors and bringing ole Pat in for a two minute contract meeting. He gets to propose policy all over the world, especially in matters dealing with mammon- in his hat of conservative pundit and policy mover. His other hat is holy impunity, which hats he switches back and forth like Didi and Gogo in a one man rendition of "Waiting for Gold".
Would you buy a used religion from this man? Should you trust a network that gilds his soapbox? Do you treasure him as a measure of moral virtue in that one can see who is truly evil and hypocritical by the various reactions to this warbling bellwether of RW blustering hate?
What if these clowns were less smirking and outrageous, less arrogant, more clever? We might use the excuse that their sunny character deceived and seduced us. But these classic a-holes never give us an excuse. We have no reason to tolerate them, to let them slaughter our children and children abroad for greed and spite. Evil has become less glamorous and more addled and decadent.
What should WE do about Pat? Certainly not descend to his slimy level and justify his warped view of reality. We should take him OFF the air. Take him TO a museum where all his words are juxtaposed with photos of the holocaust he cheers and supports from his Christian couch potato public prayers(condemned unequivocally by Jesus in a brilliant parable, as well as Robertson's political and economic ambitions). Take him TO prison for associations and deeds no one dared investigate. Take him INTO our hearts to offer him a chance to repent. Take him TO therapy, back to Korea, TO Jeff Gannon for an interview to clear the air. Lead this horse's behind to the well- or latrine.
But never take him out. That is for dates and pizzas.

3. I still say the entire Right-Wing cabal, from Scaife on down, |
|
in an ideal world, would be a prime target for a RICO investigation.
