Kerry the Scull and Bonesman
Ok Kerry is a member of the Scull and Bones fraternity of Yale. Just like Bush. Do we really want Bush's frat brother running against him? COME ON!

If Dems put up Bush-Lite - we *deserve* to lose.

Won't get fooled again.

6. oh, let's see...
NAFTA, GATT/WTO, FTAA, more FTAs, resistence against raising the minium wage, hostile to the living wage ... should I go on?

Oh, that's right - Dems only care about abortion and gay marriage - I forgot :eyes:

Edited on Tue Jan-27-04 10:36 AM by jpgray
On NAFTA etc., the only one who beats him is Kucinich. So every other candidate is Bush-lite, in your view.

He voted for raising the minimum wage. Kucinich is the ONLY ONE who really talks about a living wage. Every other candidate is Bush-lite, in your view.

Keep going if you want.

14. sure
the PATRIOT Act, THe Iraqi war resolution, No Child Left Behind.

But even still, Unless Kerry ran hard and far to the right in the general, I'd vote for him. He'd be such an improvment on diplomacy and international relations, and he's no Bush-lite on the death penalty while still having tough-on-crime credentials.

18. On the IWR, I won't raise a defense
On NCLB, I think he was trying to help out Ted Kennedy, who somehow believed Bush would fund and honestly execute his program. :eyes:

Patriot Act was voted for by all but one senator, if I recall. Even Wellstone, who I would NOT call Bush-lite. Neither should have voted for it, of course.

IWR was just a bad vote. It was a mistake, and while his explanation makes sense to me, it still seems to have been more politically motivated than anything else.

If the bonesmen want a #5 to replace #4, then Kerry is our only chance!

He is a real ass.

We shared some silly times when I was 19 to 21. I am a very different person than that kid.

Kerry was a member of an exclusive fraternity for rich kids. So was Bush. They did silly things.

I would hope that you wouldn't write me off because I was in the same fraternity as an asshole convict.

I would hope that you wouldn't write off Kerry because he was in the same fraternity as an asshole president.

It's SKULL and Bones. With a "k". I was a member -- but not at Yale (at a state university) ... it was basically a DRINKING CLUB for student leaders at my college.

Anyhow ... we've got to think about electability. It is absolutely KEY in this race. And a Kerry-Edwards ticket gives us that. A handsome Southerner with some legislative experience paired with a Vietnam vet with BOTH foreign policy and domestic policy experience? And both so well-spoken? Beauty.

Sorry to be blunt about the rest of the pack ... but please ... we MUST have electability.

***Wes Clark has been a Dem. for about five minutes. Handsome but no charisma. Still struggles for answers. No domestic policy experience.

***Howard Dean. Too volatile. Has had a few shifting positions the media can rip into. Not presidential. The state he ran was too small. He's a northeasterner WITHOUT the legislative experience. He should run for Senate.

***Dennis Kucinich -- unelectable on many fronts (though he's a great guy and I love his platform). Looks like a little geek and sounds like a flaming liberal.

***Al Sharpton ... love to hear him speak. But too extreme for most of the country. Unelectable.

***Joe Lieberman ... nice guy, but too conservative. A hawk and proud of it. And he puts people to sleep when he opens his mouth.

These weak-assed brickbrats dont pass as arguments ....

The assertion that Kerry is somehow 'NOT a Democrat' because he went to Yale is simply absurd ....

Whether you are a 'Democrat' or not isnt terribly relevent, if your only goal is to TEAR DOWN Democrats who do NOT toe your absurdly placed line ....

Your hole awaits ....

38. ok, mobius
I apologize for cappin' on your typo. OK? I was angry at your assumption that Kerry somehow isn't qualified to be president because he was a member of Skull & Bones. And I took it out on your spelling. Well, not to mention that I was a member of the same organization, at a college where they didn't take it all so seriously. And which gave me NO networking advantage in the outside world, I guarantee you!

Pardonnez-moi.

Buying you a beer. :toast:

If getting rid of Bush weren't so vital, I doubt my temper would be flaring as it is. But we WILL NOT have a country left if Bush is given four more years. And I like living in the United States; I don't want to have to move to Canada or New Zealand.

And I see Kerry as the guy with the best overall resume to beat the Chimp.

41. Skull and Bones IS NOT A COLLEGE FRATERNITY
It is a secret society!

There is a difference!

Three Presidents. A host of CIA operatives and cabinet members. Other prominent people throughout the country who control the media, things on the internet, the banking.

They have had a hand in things like the NAZI movement in Germany.

College fraternity???

Whatever.

Kerry is a part of an agenda, and his "RECORD" is irrelevant. He is out for the same things that Bush is, and it doesn't matter if he as a Democrat goes COUNTER-CLOCKWISE to get to the same point that Bush as a Republican goes CLOCKWISE to get to, if you understand what I'm saying. He is still trying to achieve the same thing for Skull and Bones that Bush would.

That is a NEW WORLD ORDER. George Herbert Walker Bush was also a member of Skull and Bones, and back in 1991, he used "NEW WORLD ORDER" in one of his speeches, saying that his administration was out to create one for the good of everyone. Bush Jr is trying to get it set up as well, and Bonesman Kerry would as well.

College fraternity? You are so underestimating this thing.
