Alright! We're going to CRAWFORD!
We're leaving tomorrow night, and we'll be there Saturday morning.

Who's been there? What do we need to know?

We're bringing a tent. There's still tent space, right? It's also kind of a big one. Maybe others can make use of the space as well (I don't like thinking we're taking up others' space). Do we need to reserve a space or anything like that if we're going to camp it?

And we're going to be bringing supplies. Water, and I thought I'd bring in some veggies in a cooler and some beef jerky for those who eat meat (like me).

A couple of chairs, maybe some kind of entertainment.

We have to park elsewhere, right, and take a bus in? Someone said there is a place to "sign in."

Basically, what are the ropes?

2. Look in the Texas forum for updates.
I hear they are getting low on tent space. You may have to camp elsewhere. Take water and ice. Check in at the Crawford Peace House first.

3. It's a 7-person tent.
It's kind of large. We could consolidate.

Or we could buy a smaller tent. Which would you suggest?

7. You may want to call the Peace House and ask them
for suggestions, that'd be best....

Maybe I should bring the bug repellant, huh?

We were thinking we wouldn't need it.

13. Do they allow campfires there?
Probably only those that are authorized.

But I thought I'd bring some potatoes and aluminum foil. I always thought potatoes were the one thing someone could live on for a year straight, and they keep so damned well...

14. Happy day!
:applause:

You won't regret it, believe me! Take lots of pics and be sure to report back.

One thing I meant to bring but forgot was one of those squeeze bottle things with the fan attached. It's bloody hot down there.

FWIW, when I mentioned West, that's a little Czech town just off I-35 north of Waco. You'll see signs. There's a bakery right off the interstate where you can get the best kolaches, which are czech pastries. Enjoy!
