Bush's Obscene Tirades Rattle White House Aides
While President George W. Bush travels around the country in a last-ditch effort to sell his Iraq war, White House aides scramble frantically behind the scenes to hide the dark mood of an increasingly angry leader who unleashes obscenity-filled outbursts at anyone who dares disagree with him.

“I’m not meeting again with that goddamned bitch,” Bush screamed at aides who suggested he meet again with Cindy Sheehan, the war-protesting mother whose son died in Iraq. “She can go to hell as far as I’m concerned!”

<snip>

Bush, administration aides confide, frequently explodes into tirades over those who protest the war, calling them “motherfucking traitors.” He reportedly was so upset over Veterans of Foreign Wars members who wore “bullshit protectors” over their ears during his speech to their annual convention that he told aides to “tell those VFW assholes that I’ll never speak to them again is they can’t keep their members under control.”

White House insiders say Bush is growing increasingly bitter over mounting opposition to his war in Iraq. Polls show a vast majority of Americans now believe the war was a mistake and most doubt the President’s honesty.

“Who gives a flying fuck what the polls say,” he screamed at a recent strategy meeting. “I’m the President and I’ll do whatever I goddamned please. They don’t know shit.”

1. Can anyone vouch for the source?
A year ago, capitolhillblue was claiming bush was on serious mood-calming drugs, but no one corroborated that one that I'm aware of.

5. Much discussion on this same topic at this thread

I believe Doug, frankly. I do not think he would risk his years as a print journalist and a Hill staffer to make shit up at this late stage. He is still very well connected in DC. And he is a recovering alky, too, and ADMITS it--he knows the denial when he sees it.

2. this is not the first time that witnesses have mentioned his temper
or his growing ire at anyone who dares disagree with him.

It seems to me to be a disease process, not a natural reaction of an emperor who noticed that he wears no clothes.

4. I tend not to trust capitol hill blue but...
if one of those aides were to accidently leave thier cell phone on, that I could take to the bank.

This stuff to me sounds like something Bush would say, but just like so much on the web take this with a bucket of salt.

6. As probable as this seems
Capitol Hill Blue never convinces me they have got the sources for this kind of stuff.

10. B*sh has already flipped the bird in public
but the MSM did not play it over and over, 600+ times in one week (CNN' tally) as they did with the "Dean Scream". However, the MSM (cable) did mention the "accusation" with the "fair-and-balanced" denial from the B*shies that the incident took place.

Does anyone really think the MSM would report on it, if it happened? I would bet it already has happened, but it's like a tree falling in the forest with no one to hear it.

After 2+ years of reading top-of-the-fold headlines about Clinton's blowjob, almost nothing about the media's silence regarding Bu*shco's flagrant lies and abuses, not to mention the foreign policy nightmare and human tragedy of invading Iraq, surprises me anymore.

8. Capitol Hill Blue
is totally lacking in credibility. They've been making the same unsourced claims re: chimps instability for years.

11. The reason that I believe this is true...
...is because almost everybody behaves this way at times. I know I do...and that's one of the reasons that I'm not running for president in 2008!

One of the prerequisites of running for the presidency or any high office for that matter is that you keep this aspect of yourself in control or at least only "let loose" behind the locked door of a well insulated bathroom.

Bush is a weak and undisciplined man.

12. I knew this was a Capitol Hill Blue story even before I clicked on it.
Capitol Hill Blue makes stuff up. Should never be used as a source, if it's true you'd see it reported elsewhere.

13. Anyone remeber the story of bush eating lunch in DC, I think in one
of the congressional lunch spots on the hill, when a woman approached him to say hi or something and he blew a gasket and berated her for disturbing him. Happened when his dad was Pres I think.

14. I find this very...
...believable. It was Laura Bush, no less, who recounted the way the Chimpster reacted after she gave him some very mild criticism of a speech he had given one evening early in his political career---he'd asked for her opinion, she responded something to the effect that his "performance wasn't great" and he intentionally crashed their car into the garage (apparently they were pulling into their driveway). She told this story to get a laugh, and did. I think it's completely consistent with how he responds to being challenged in even slightest way.

18. One Question....
IF this were NOT true....notice I say IF...do you think for one minute someone wouldn't be denying or downplaying it? I also heard about that incident with the car/garage over her critiquing his speech...and people laughed when she told the story...laughed, mind you....so perhaps people in general don't think it's dangerous to have an out of control hothead in the oval office...or maybe by her telling about the incident, conditions us to expect this kind of behavior from him? The man runs this country, for crying out loud, and I don't think it's the least bit funny, because sadly, I feel deep down that every bit of it's true..so mayhaps we should all write and tell the author that we want proof...let's hear a tape...we've already seen the one finger salute given in public with our own eyes...so let's hear the uncontrolled rage, with our own ears...maybe then we'll believe...

I guess the real question is, what does the author have to gain by writing about it...to be named in a law suit for slander or for defaming the pResident?
