LTTE in The Day: President Has Blood Of Innocents On His Hands
Edited on Fri Aug-26-05 12:09 PM by Larkspur
The Cindy Sheehan battle is heating up in Eastern CT

The facts surrounding Cindy Sheehan and the Crawford episode are obvious: President George W. Bush is a first-class coward who never served his country and who can't even muster up the courage to face a grieving mother who lost a child due to his unnecessary war. It is a war with one purpose only — to make the mega-rich richer — and it leaves U.S. citizens more vulnerable to terror attacks every day that we remain there killing innocent Iraqi people. They are people who have suffered under Saddam, under harsh sanctions and now under a savage occupation.

If Mr. Bush's noble reasons were true, he wouldn't have to hide under his bed. He could ride his bike to the end of his driveway and put Ms. Sheehan's doubts to rest. But instead, he sends out the sleaze brigade to slime a Gold-Star mother seeking a few minutes of his time. His behavior is despicable, dishonest and cowardly. The blood of nearly 2,000 young Americans and tens of thousands of Iraqis is on his hands, and he's probably napping peacefully. How long will Americans stand for this?

Good letter this one.

I also added it to my main post.

The Day is based out of New London, CT and has a branch office in Norwich, CT. They call themselves an Eastern CT paper but they generally concentrate on the Norwich-New London area. I live in Killingly, CT, which is in the Northeast corner of CT. Killingly is about 3 miles south of Putnam, CT.

The author of this LTTE is from Dayville, which is the village I live in. I'll have to look her up.
