Just read Frank Rich NYT editorial - he nailed it so well.....
Everyone here should read it and cement his key points over and over again in their mind....he thinks and writes in such clarity. And he says some things that may annoy some here, but he does a great service - makes people THINK! The most poignant part is his criticism of many of our Dem leaders - what they are doing is no less chicken shit as those on the right, in some regards, in using the "if I ignore this it will destroy * and we will then have the ball" strategy. Folks, we are screwed....but time goes on, so there has to be a way.

The problem with great reads like this is that he is preaching to the choir....I am not sure that words can ever bridge the current polarization in our country, and about Iraq....

Scary stuff there - how the 911 celebration will be used to continue to build the bridge that doesn't exist between Iraq and 911....it will be hammered, repeated...and become gospel to the sheeple.

2. Take on Iran and N. Korea?
I don't get that part. What's to take on? The same phony policy choices?

Generally, an accurate and provocative assessment.

4. Rich missed reading Kerry's strategy in his own paper June 28? Clark has
offered plans, too.

Hagel hasn't said anything much different than Kerry and Clark.

Rich should do some homework if he is going to make declarations.

5. Perhaps, but by and large, they are not sinking in with the media or
public, so I think Rich was in bounds to come out like he did.
