Demo's need to unite. We need to pare the possible candidates down.
We need to pick a few that stand for Demo values. How can any Demo that supported the BushWar stand for Demo values? We should drop Hillary and Kerry and move on. They have no excuse for backing Bush's Oil War. And don't tell me they were fooled by Bushy or flawed intelligence. If they were fooled, then they are fools. There are other possible candidates that DIDN'T support the War.

1. I have been thinking the same thing.
I have no use for either Hillary or Kerry, for sure. I would not vote for either of them. We do not even need a Senator to run at all for that matter. Look to the governors. That is what the Dem party should do. Just my opinion.

2. The only people I can see doing it are Feingold and Clark.
Almost everyone else is a pretender.

7. Wow. You are repeating the past. We will continue to lose.
What did i say to make u think i was doing anything more than starting a discussion. Yikes. I am trying to get other Demo's to get united. Not a bad thing. Divided we fall again, and again. If we wait until the Party leaders set up the Primaries we will end up with Hillary. She supported George Bush's war. No excuse. She can't stand for Demo values when she did that. I appreciate your enthusiasm but it may be mis-directed.

9. Should they be executed?
Or would exile to Siberia be more humane?

12. If it's only up to DU, it won't matter.
The party leadership will ignore us anyhow, the Siberia factions will coordinate and the execution factions will coordinate, they'll get their own forums, and the rest of us can live in a debate driven semi-peace!

Ah yes, will my primary scars NEVER heal???

11. Beg to differ. I want them to make their case and I'll decide.
It's too early to place artificial limits.

At this point, the wider the field, the better, IMHO.

Meet the Press. Groom Clark, support him, get him out there and present his very cogent message. Biden, et al should be shoved out of the way. That means him, Hillary, Bayh and all the DLCers who muddy the water.
And the people who want "immediate" withdrawal need to be educated to reality and understand what that means long term....and adjust the message. Really, Democrats need to grow up.

This is not just about 2008, it's about 2006, which is our big opportunity to go after the GOP thugs and weaken their hold on all three branches of government!

As for a "wider field"--if the DLCers are all spouting the same crap, what's the wider field?? They are almost dominating the discussion now.
Feingold is naive with the pullout by 2007--Bush will pull some out anyway for 2006 and trump that. Besides, the long term ramifications cannot be ignored for the entire region. Clark is the only one who seems to see the whole picture, in terms that the American public will buy....60% in the Gallup poll don't see a quick pullout as the way to go, anyway. Clark's positions built on that constructively and with long range vision....and emphasis on regional involvment. Which, in the WMW and as I posted here yesterday, is trying to get started without our help. If we had a leadership that could support that, we might get somewhere in terms of restoring our credibility.

If our genius Democratic leadership can't see that, it's hopeless. Clark is advising them, but it seems the biggest egos and mouths don't get it.....
