5. Agreed
As a fiscal centrist, I'm sure Dean has a lot of cross-over appeal to republicans.

17. EVIDENCE would suggest otherwise.
At least according to a NH official on CNN yesterday and the RW Push polling for Kerry - against Dean in Iowa.

6. But we are better than that, aren't we?
They need to protect themselves against a possible loss. The mere fact they are trying to get this thought out means there is an inkling of doubt of whether or not their candidate can pull it off. They need to create an excuse for Dean's resurgence that has nothing to do with Dean pulling off a media coup the past few days.

I for one do not labor under false pretenses. If Dean doesn't win it is because he failed to excite the voters and convince them he is the best man for the job. All the dirty tricks in the world can't compete with a competent person running for office. His loss will have nothing to do with Kerry or Clark or Edwards. It is his to lose, he is the prime-mover of this election.

21. Dean resurgence?
The latest Zogby poll shows that Kerry has opened up a 13 point lead. Up from 3 points yesterday.

8. and if either of them win its because of themselves
Good luck out there. I think if Dean wins it will because of a hard effort up there, same goes for all of them. Well if Joe wins, its that Joemomentum.

15. heh
I tell ya that man Hamm is a party boss in Manchaster, a regular Boss Tweed I tell ya. Good luck again. I am already thinking of a "Hamm" like topic to have us in good moods tonight. We need another obscure candiate to poke fun at :).
Heres a little info on Hamm
"A computer consultant, Vincent Hamm won 70 votes (13th place) in the 1996 New Hampshire primary ... and just 22 votes (19th place) in the 2000 NH Democratic primary. He's back for a third run in 2004, and has qualified once again for the NH primary ballot. Hamm's platform includes drug legalization, increased educational spending, preserving our natural resources, and some other liberal views. He says he's largely running "because I can" -- and already plans to keep running in future years. His campaign website was last updated in October 1999. Other related links are Hamm Ltd. (Hamm's business) and Aim High, Inc. (another Hamm business)."
My choice for a new joke is.
Alfred "Al" Hamburg
"Perennial candidate Al Hamburg has lost 14 consecutive bids for President and for Governor, US Senate and Congress. He proudly describes himself as the "Very Independent UNPOPULAR Candidate" -- unpopular, he explains, because the special interests and bureaucrats hate him (well, that ... and maybe also because of the Nazi helmet he's wearing in his photo). A house painter by trade, Hamburg spent nearly twenty years in the Army -- serving in the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He has run for state office repeatedly -- at various times -- as a Democrat, an Independent, and as a member of the now-defunct New Alliance Party. Claiming to be a homeless veteran, Hamburg suddenly popped-up in Nebraska in 2000 -- claimed that state as his new residency -- and filed as a candidate there for US Senator in the Democratic primary. Hamburg is now back in Wyoming and running for President in 2004. He filed FEC paperwork for the race in July 2001."

13. GWB's comments the other day prove he is scared of both Kerry and Dean
and doesn't particularly want either. He slammed both of them, and he would have stayed "Presidential" and "Above The Fray" if he was so cool with it.

GWB is scared, and he ought to be. Dean and Kerry are both strong candidates.

14. I don't know if that is true
On this board, for example, the amount and intensity of criticism from republican sources used against John Kerry show their animosity to him stretches from his denouncement of Nixon's bloody, illegal war, to his exposing of Oliver North's illegal operations, to U.S. complicity in the reign of Noriega. They would like to stop him because he has their number. Go John!

19. junkie ignore this
This is kinda interesting because I know what this is in response to and the person who said what prompted them to it to my knowledge isnt a Kerry person. So . Actually Kerry lost the 30-45 out there  but it was only by a percentage point, and same with people who consider themselves very liberal, he lost that by 4% however. IMO NH will be close.
