Appreciation Thread
I wanted to say a few words to some people who might not be feeling so up today.
Let me preface this by saying I have no idea what will happen with Dean today, but I know he is staying in so I am satisfied with even 3rd place. I have no expectations.

Clark folks: I don't support Clark for many reasons but a few of you are old friends. I don't know at what point he drops out and I am not suggesting he should. I don't know where he will place today. But if it is not what you hoped for, remember only you and your candidate can determine how far you go. Ignore the rest of the noise.

DK supporters: We have differences about what makes a liberal. I appreciate your faith and I hope you have strength for whatever length of time you need it to continue getting your message out.

Lieberman supporters: I have to give you the biggest kudos if you are reading this. There are so many times when Joe pissed me and everyone else off. But he means what he says and he is consistant. There is a certain nobility in that even if I do disagree with him most of the time.

Sharpton Folks: There will be a time when an African American can run (and not just a blue dog DLCer like Ford) and be taken seriously as the front runner. And damn, it had better be soon because I am tired of waiting. Same with a woman candidate.

Kerry and Edwards people: You are doing just fine. No pep talk for you today. Hang in there.

4. Thanks for your gracious words.
I admire all the candidates and have tried not to diss any of them. But sometimes it is the supporters who made that hard. And I mean supporters of all candidates. ABB.

7. Thanks Cheswick.
Today is definitely nerve-wracking for everybody today, no matter which candidate you are supporting. I am rooting for Dean but don't have high expectations -- I don't want to feel too bad if he doesn't do as well as projected. I will be very happy with a second place, and even satisfied with a third.

Good luck to everybody and their candidates! Keep hanging in there, and do yourself a favor -- turn off the TV and don't take to heart the negative things the pundits will most likely say.

10. Nice constructive thread
Cheers to all for supporting and believing in your candidates. I, too, hope everyone can see the silver linings in the results today and that each of your candidates will continue to make his case for the nomination.

Good luck to all!

15. I love threads like these!!
Thank you for a happy, sane post. I know who my #1 guy is.. but everything else is up for grabs. I hope the same hopes for everyone on the ballot today.

Even though it gets tense here sometimes between supporters... I always try to remember that the other DUer feels just as passionately about their candidate, as I do about mine.

I'm ready for a big old DU party when we get our Democratic winner in November. :grouphug:

16. Nederland just knocked me out of my chair in another thread
Which for some reason won't come up anymore (dangit).

So I'm putting this here, since it seems the most appropriate place outside that thread (In Praise of Kucinich).

19. Thank you Cheswick! May the best man win, now and in November.
And by "man," I mean Democrat. That OTHER individual is hardly what I'd call a real man - you know, the putz playing soldier in clown suit with socks in underwear.

This was sweet. VERY much appreciated.

23. Clark? Is Clark losing third place to Edwards?
You give no pep talk to Edwards but one to Clark, which begs the question: Do you know something we don't?
