I am waaaaaaaaaay out on a limb here ........ |
|
I had one of those unsolicited, unanticipated thoughts that we all get from time to time. Thoughts that you never believe you're capable of thinking ..... but then you do ......
The thought is this: The neglect of the victims, particularly in New Orleans, is intentional.
It allows the cabal to show live on prime time teevee how bad our citizens are. It demonstrates clearly, in living color, the need to impose martial law.
And so it is done. Martial law.
Order.
People evacuated.
Lives saved.
Because of martial law.
Martial law .... its a good thing.
As I said ... this is a random thought that just jumped into my addled brain. I'm not saying its true, cuz it couldn't be.
Could it?

Yours is at least the fourth thread today (and I've been on ALL day) suggesting this.
YOU are not alone.

that Condi is on vacation in New York, seeing a Broadway comedy and purchasing shoes that cost thousands of dollars.
Shouldn't she have been somewhere in that wonderful meeting the boy king called yesterday?

3. Yours is not the first post I've seen on the subject. |
|
Given the First Asshole's lame performance and the complete breakdown of FEMA, I'd say you're onto something.

4. Marshal law will save lives. More lives would have been saved if |
|
Bush had declared it and send his psyops teams over the airwaves to scare the pants of the violent criminals with the threat of impending national army rolling into town in huge air convoys.
But he doesn't care.

Remember when Franken interviewed Redford. And Redford said that "they" enjoy seeing people suffer - or some such. Husb, "they" enjoy this and I fully agree with you.
In a perverse way they will use all this against Dem legislators at all levels. Landrieu can kiss up with the sweetest lips she can muster. But they will slice her throat politically as soon as they can.
And for the reason you assert. I smell the stink of Rove coming through the screen - not the unwashed bodies of the needy and the dead. Everything, after all, is political to that scum.

7. that thought occurred to me also. It a was cold-blooded decision. |
|
They could have dropped water and supplies. They could have sent in troops right away. They did nothing. Are they completely incompetent or just criminally neglectful?
We do know that the White House is a bunch of cold-blooded evil criminal sociopaths, and God help us all.

8. Not, it's part of the New World Order/Social Darwinism |
|
when all the inferior, poor and dependent have been cleansed from the world thru disasters, starvation, etc. Some say Bush wants to eliminate the W-2's those who pay into social security and expect a check the same way. I don't think the lack of a flu vaccine was an accident last year.

22. Almost more comforting to think it's planned, in a way, isn't it? But yes |

sadly, I think that they're more like a bunch of spoiled two year olds than the diabolical (but smart) villains some people want them to be. Which is not to say, by the way, that they're any less dangerous because of it. Actually, stupid and evil is worse in some ways than smart and evil, because while you can anticipate the moves of someone who's in it strictly for self-preservation, it's really hard to predict the actions of a truly stupid person. Because you think, "oh, they wouldn't possibly do *that,* would they? Surely they must see that they're damaging themselves as well or worse than their target." But, no. And that's how they last as long as they do. Because people simply can't or won't believe these idiots *really just are that incompetent.* So you either decide that they're actually well-meaning, or are simply too cunning and powerful to ever be defeated, depending on your sympathies. but either is really giving them far too much credit. because the alternative is just too fucking scary.
I mean, who would *you* rather have with their finger near the red button? A brilliant but heartless despot who's mostly interested in keeping himself rich and powerful and knows how to do it? Or a fucktard who's just as likely to think the Button is an m &m and try to eat it?

15. Then there's the fact that the Army Corps of Engineers' |
|
work in the recent past on strengthening the levees had to be halted due to lack of funds due to THE WAR ON IRAQ, make me say that all of the blood of the dead in New Orleans caused by flooding from the broken levees in on the Bush Junta's hands.

17. Why? make New Orleans a militarized zone due to a "natural" disaster? |
|
Look at the patterns.
I think its time we become wary of more "natural" disasters, because they would pose a convenient method to further create chaos here in America and potentially allow this Administration to bring in 'private' troops of their own.
Who would think something like this could ever occur? Who could think so many things could have happened on our soil within the past five years.

21. No; I think they're simply incompetent and don't give enough of a shit. |
|
Well, ask again after they've imposed martial law (or anything) that actually, you know, works.
But given what a clusterfuck they've made of this, I don't see how they're going to gain control of an entire nation this way, do you?
