Full Media Attention Should be on *'s Cut of Levy Funding, other policies

This is the time to make it known that politics DO affect people's lives, and in many cases is literally a matter of life and death.

We need to hammer the media to cover:

- the cut of the funding for the levy

- the cut of the funding for the Category 5 NO disaster plan

- the effect of the relaxation of wetland regs on the severity of the hurricane

- the effect of the lack of National Guard b/c of Iraq War.

- etc.

So much of this disaster is DIRECTLY ATTRIBUTABLE to BUSH and his policies. It is either due to his tax cuts to his rich greedy supporters or due to his war of aggression against Iraq.

There are plenty of links and resources at buzzflash.com, commondreams.org and alternet.org that detail exactly what policies were set when and how they impacted the severity of this disaster.

There is no better time to impress on people that politics DO affect their lives.
